Brier City Council Minutes

September 11, 2001

 

Mayor Kaske called the regular Brier City Council Meeting to order at 7:30 PM, and the flag salute was given.

Roll Call:

Present: Councilmembers Warner, Moller, Magnuson, Doolittle and Colinas

Absent: Councilmembers Starks and Jordan

Reports of Committees & City Officials:

Mayor Kaske asked if there were any Reports. Mayor Kaske confirmed that Councilmember Colinas would be attending the AWC Round Table discussion on October 11th. Councilmember Moller moved to authorize the City Clerk attendance at the Round Table discussion. Motion Carried. Mayor Kaske informed Council that there will be a regular meeting prior to workshop on September 18, 2001 for a plat modification on the plat of Homestead and informed Council that there may also be an Executive Session.

Public Requests & Oral Communications:

None

Consent Agenda:

Mayor Kaske opened for consideration approval of the Consent Agenda. Councilmember Moller moved and Councilmember Colinas seconded to approve the Consent Agenda, which included to approve the Brier City Council Minutes of August 28, 2001, and to approve the request for proposal for consultant work for Sensitive Areas Ordinance and Shoreline Management Code. Motion Carried with Councilmember Magnuson abstaining.

 

Councilmember Colinas asked to move the Public Hearing on the Six Year Street Plan to the regular meeting prior to workshop on September 18, 2001. Councilmember Colinas moved and Councilmember Moller seconded to postpone the Public Hearing on the Six Year Street Plan to September 18, 2001. Motion Carried.

Auditing of Accounts:

Mayor Kaske opened for consideration approval of the August 2001 Payroll Warrants. Councilmember Colinas moved and Councilmember Moller seconded to approve the August 2001 Payroll Warrants No. 10240 through No. 10288 in the amount of $65,862.11, with Warrants No. 10238, 10239 and 10251 being void. Motion Carried.

Mayor Kaske opened for consideration approval of the August 2001 Claim Warrants. Councilmember Colinas moved and Councilmember Moller seconded to approve the

August 2001 Claim Warrants No. 14397 through No. 14453 in the amount of $129,477.09, with Warrant No. 14398 being void. Motion carried.

Adjournment:

Councilmember Moller moved to adjourn. Motion carried, and the Brier City Council Meeting of September 11, 2001 adjourned at 7:39 PM.
