Mayor Kaske called the regular Brier City Council Meeting prior to Workshop to order at 7:35 PM.

Roll Call:

Present:            Councilmembers Colinas, Gipson, Jordan, Warner, Doolittle and Morgan.

Absent:             Councilmember Starks

Unfinished Business:

Mayor Kaske opened for discussion consideration of the backhoe purchase and review of the information provided by Rich Maag. There was Council discussion. Councilmember Warner moved and Councilmember Doolittle seconded to purchase the 1997 backhoe with enclosed cab as presented for the price not to exceed $54,000 plus tax. There was continued Council discussion over the age of equipment, the competitive bid process, and the brand of Case versus John Deere. Motion Lost with Councilmembers Colinas, Gipson, and Doolittle opposing and Councilmember Warner not voting.

New Business, Petitions, Communications, Applications & Appeals:

Mayor Kaske opened for consideration approval of final plat for the Plat of Gregory Place. Councilmember Jordan moved and Councilmember Doolittle seconded to approve Final Plat for Gregory Place Subdivision No. 97-01 and approve Resolution No. 437.C granting Final Plat Approval. Motion Carried.
