November 16, 2004 Click Here - For the workshop minutes that followed the regular meeting. Mayor Starks called the regular Brier City Council
Meeting to order at 7:38 PM and the flag salute was given. Roll Call: Present: Councilmembers Colinas, McClenny,
Kaemingk, Corpron-Smith, Doolittle, and Morgan. Councilman Gipson arrived at
7:46 PM. Public
Requests & Oral Communications: None. Reports of
Committees & City Officials: Councilmember Colinas asked if the committee for
the Fire contract can meet after the workshop meeting. Councilmember
Gipson attended the Library Board meeting last week and they have 3 vacancies
and have two members who need to be re-appointed by the end of the year. Approval
of Minutes: Mayor Starks opened for consideration of approval
of the Brier City Council Minutes of November 9, 2004. Councilmember Kaemingk moved and Councilmember Corpron-Smith seconded to approve the Brier
City Council Minutes of November 9, 2004. Motion Carried. Councilmember
McClenny abstained. Unfinished
Business: Mayor Starks opened for consideration the Poplar
Glen Extension. LariAnne Milosalvic of MIR spoke regarding their extension for
Final Plat approval. Mr. Williams stated that his opinion had not changed since
last week and that this is really a Council decision. There was council
discussion. Councilmember Colinas
moved and Councilmember Doolittle
seconded to extend Final Plat approval for Poplar Glen to December 31, 2004
since it is beyond the developers control to get PUD to install power to the
plat. There was council discussion. Councilmember
Colinas amended his motion to change the date to January 31, 2005 and Councilmember Doolittle agreed
to second the amendment. Motion Carried, Councilmember Morgan opposed. Miscellaneous
Business by Call of Councilmembers & City Officials Councilmember McClenny may have to step down or
will at least miss some meetings in the near future due to a family illness. Councilmember Corpron-Smith stated that she has
contacted Dean France about attending a meeting with the Council on LISD. Adjournment Councilmember
Corpron-Smith moved and Councilmember
Doolittle seconded to adjourn. Mayor Starks declared the meeting
