BRIER CITY COUNCIL MINUTES Mayor Starks called the regular Brier City Council
Meeting to order at 7:35 PM and the flag salute was given. Roll Call: Present: Councilmembers Colinas, McClenny,
Kaemingk, Gipson, and Corpron-Smith. Absent: Councilmember Morgan. and Doolittle Public
Requests & Oral Communications: Ed Walker 21206 Poplar Way stated he would like to
discuss the emergency ordinances that are on the agenda. The Mayor called a five-minute recess and asked
that the tape be stopped. When the session resumed the council allowed Mr.
Walker to speak for five minutes on these topics. Mr. Walker asked that the record show that the
Mayor is trying to intimidate him with the time by continually looking at his
watch. He spoke to the council regarding the stormwater ordinance. Reports of
Committees & City Officials: Councilwoman Corpron-Smith attended last week’s
Park Board meeting. The Park Board had a few questions about when the
irrigation in Rich’s Woods in Brier Park would be getting done; they were also
working on some long-term plans for Locust Creek Park Approval
of Minutes: Mayor Starks opened for consideration approval of
the Brier City Council Minutes of April 12, 2005. Councilmember McClenny moved and Councilmember Corpron-Smith seconded to approve the Brier
City Council Minutes of April 12, 2005. Motion Carried. Councilmember Gipson
abstained. New
Business, Petitions, Communications, Application Appeals: Mayor Starks opened for discussion the release of
the Performance Bond for the Murphy Lamb Short Plat #SP99-01 by J.M. Murphy.
There was council discussion. Councilmember
Colinas moved and Councilmember
Corpron-Smith seconded to approve the release of the Performance Bond
for the Murphy Lamb Short Plat #SP99-01 by J.M. Murphy as designated in the
memo dated April 14, 2005 by Rich Maag. Motion Carried. Mayor Starks opened for discussion the release of
the Performance Bond for the Northview Glen Subdivision #SUB 96-02, by J.M.
Murphy. There was council discussion. Councilmember
Colinas moved and Councilmember
McClenny seconded to approve the release of the Performance Bond for
the Northview Glen Subdivision #SUB 96-02, by J.M. Murphy as designated in the
memo dated April 14, 2005 by Rich Maag. Motion Carried. Miscellaneous Mayor Starks
opened for discussion the Agreement and License for Use of Personal Property.
There was council discussion. Councilmember
Corpron-Smith moved and Councilmember
Kaemingk seconded to approve the Agreement and License for Use of
Personal Property pending a letter approving to form from City Attorney Tom
Evans. Motion Carried. Adjournment
to Workshop: Councilmember
