Mayor Colinas called the regular Brier City Council Meeting to order at 7:30PM and the flag salute was given.

Roll Call:

Present:            Councilmembers Gem, Gipson, Kaemingk, Nick, and Krienke.

                        Councilmembers Morgan, Corpron-Smith arrived at 7:32pm

Approval of Minutes:

Mayor Colinas opened for consideration approval of the Brier City Council Workshop Minutes of December 19, 2006.  Councilmember Nick moved and Councilmember Gipson seconded to approve the Brier City Council Workshop Minutes of December 19, 2006. Motion Carried.

Consent Agenda:

Mayor Colinas opened for consideration approval of the Consent Agenda items A through D which includes approval of Brier City Council Minutes of December 12, 2006, re-appointment of Mike Lavoie to the Brier Planning Commission, Position 7, term to expire July 31, 2008, appointment of Nicole Wright to Parks Board, Position 1, term to expire September 15, 2007, and appointment of Jim Wright to the Parks Board, Position 5, term to expire September 15, 2009. New Business, Petitions, Communications, Applications & Appeals:

Mayor Colinas opened for consideration approval of the collective bargaining agreement with Brier Police Association for 2007-2009 and authorize the Mayor’s signature. Councilmember Gipson moved and Councilmember Morgan seconded to approve the collective bargaining agreement with Brier Police Association for 2007-2009 and authorize the Mayor’s signature.  Roll call vote was taken. Councilwomen Gem-yes, Councilmen Gipson-yes, Councilmen Kaemingk-yes, Councilwomen Smith-yes, Councilmen Morgan-yes, Councilmen Nick-yes, and Councilmen Krienke-yes. Motion Carried.

Ordinances, Resolutions & Orders

Mayor Colinas opened for consideration approval of Ordinance 343 amending the Home Occupation Ordinance. Councilmember Smith moved and Councilmember Nick seconded to approve Ordinance 343 amending the Home Occupation Ordinance. There was Council discussion. Mayor Colinas called for a 10-minute recess at 7:42pm. Mayor Colinas called the meeting back to order at 7:52pm. Motion Carried.
