BRIER CITY COUNCIL MINUTES
July 24, 2007
Mayor Colinas called the regular Brier City Council
Meeting to order at 7:30:40 PM and
the flag salute was given.
Roll Call:
7:31:07 PM
PRESENT: Mayor Colinas, Councilmember Kaemingk, Councilmember
Krienke, Councilmember Nick and Councilmember Gem. Councilmember Gipson arrived
at 7:32:31 PM, Councilmember Morgan arrived at7:36:53 PM.
ABSENT: Councilmember
Corpron-Smith.
STAFF: City Clerk-Treasurer Swisher.
Executive Session
Mayor Colinas explained the cancellation of the
executive session and that it will be rescheduled to be held on August 7, 2007.
Public
Requests & Oral Communications: None
Reports of
Committees & City Officials:
Councilmembers Krienke, Kaemingk, Gem and Nick
attempted to attend the Land Use Training meeting on the 19th.
Councilman Gipson attended the CT executive board
meeting today and a board member seminar for CT planning last week.
Mayor Colinas shared that we will have 3 short
plats processed this year just since we changed the process to conform with the
State statute.
Approval
of Minutes:
Mayor Colinas
opened for consideration approval of the Brier City Council Minutes of July 10,
2007. Councilmember Kaemingk moved, seconded by Councilmember
Gem, to approve the Brier City Council Minutes of July 10, 2007.
7:38:18 PM Motion carried unanimously.
Mayor Colinas
opened for consideration approval of the Brier City Council Minutes of July 17,
2007. Councilmember Nick moved,
seconded by Councilmember Kaemingk, to approve
the Brier City Council Minutes of July 17, 2007. 7:38:58 PM Motion carried unanimously.
Mayor Colinas
opened for consideration approval of the Brier City Council Workshop Minutes of
July 17, 2007. Councilmember Gem moved, seconded by Councilmember
Kaemingk, to approve the Brier City Council Workshop Minutes of July
17, 2007. 7:38:03 PM Motion carried unanimously.
Hearings:
Mayor Colinas
explained that the Public Hearing on the proposed Six Year Street Plan for
2008-2013 would be work shopped prior to a hearing and asked for a motion to
move it to a date certain of August 13, 2007. Councilmember Kaemingk moved, seconded by Councilmember
Krienke, to move to date certain of August 13, 2007. 7:40:35 PM
Motion carried unanimously.
Miscellaneous
Business by Call of Councilmembers & City Officials:
The Land Use Training session will be rescheduled
for some time this fall.
Our next
workshop meeting falls on the same evening as National Night Out and the Mayor
asked if we can postpone the meeting to 8:00 PM. Councilmember Kaemingk moved, seconded by Councilmember
Gem, to move the August 7th workshop meeting from a 7:30 to
an 8:00 pm start time, as recommended. Motion Carried.
Adjournment
Mayor Colinas declared the meeting adjourned at7:44:02 PM with council consent.
