BRIER CITY COUNCIL WORKSHOP MINUTES
October 21, 2008
PRESENT: Mayor Colinas, Council members, Corpron-Smith, Nick, Krienke, Gem, Kaemingk, and Gipson.
ABSENT: Council member Steele.
1. REVIEW BRIER CITY COUNCIL MINUTES OF OCTOBER 14, 2008.
2. REVIEW ORDINANCE 357 2009 PROPERTY TAX.
3. Councilmember Gipson made a MOTION to supersede the motion from September 23, 2008 and to authorize Inslee Best to monitor the Cedar River Water district law suit and to file an answer and cross claim on behalf of the City with charges for services not to exceed $1,000 and authorizing the Mayor's signature on a joint defense payment agreement and conflict letter. Councilmember Corpron-Smith SECONDED. Motion Carried.
4. Councilmember Kaemingk made a MOTION to authorize a fuel purchase for up to $25,000. Councilmember Nick SECONDED. Motion Carried.
5. 2009 PRELIMINARY BUDGET REVIEW & DISCUSSION.
