BRIER CITY COUNCIL MINUTES
June 23, 2009
Mayor Colinas called the regular Brier City Council
Meeting to order at 7:32:59 PM and the flag salute was dispensed with.
Roll Call:
PRESENT: Mayor Colinas; Councilmember
Gem, Gipson, Nick and Steele. Corpron-Smith arrived at 7:36 PM.
ABSENT: Councilmember, Kaemingk and
Krienke.
STAFF: Clerk-Treasurer Swisher.

Reports of
Committees & City Officials:
Councilmember Steele announced that Sno-Isle
Library is putting a levy lid lift on the November ballot.
Councilmember Gipson attended the June 16th CT Planning
& Capital Projects meeting and the CT executive committee meeting on June
22nd.
Clerk-Treasurer Swisher showed the Council the birdhouses
donated by the 6th grade graduating classes from Brier Elementary
that will be hung in City Light Woods.
Councilmember
Corpron-Smith attended the park board meeting on June 10th.
Approval
of Minutes:
Mayor Colinas opened for consideration approval of the Brier City
Council Minutes of June 9, 2009. Councilmember Steele
made a MOTION to approve the Brier City Council Workshop Minutes
of June 9, 2009. Councilmember Gem SECONDED.
Motion Carried.
Mayor Colinas opened for consideration approval of the Brier City Council
Workshop Minutes of June 16, 2009. Councilmember Gem
made a MOTION to approve Brier City Council Minutes of June 19,
2009. Councilmember Gipson SECONDED. Motion
Carried.
Consent
Agenda:
Mayor Colinas opened for consideration approval of the Consent Agenda
which includes, approval of sidewalk replacement by Edge Concrete in an amount
not to exceed $18,601.00 plus tax, and approval of roadway re-striping by
Snohomish County not to exceed $14,649.32 plus tax. Councilmember
Nick made a MOTION to approve the consent agenda which includes

Miscellaneous
Business by Call of Councilmembers & City Officials
Mayor Colinas shared with Council a draft for the
Bobcat Park playground equipment.
Clerk-Treasurer Swisher made note that the SEPA
appeal hearing with John Galt, hearing examiner, for the Sunbrook Development
will not be held on June 29th as previously scheduled. At this time
no new date has been scheduled.

Councilmember Steele made a MOTION to adjourn. Councilmember Gipson SECONDED. Mayor
Colinas declared the meeting adjourned at 7:46:55 PM PM.
