Mayor Colinas called the regular Brier City Council Meeting to order at 7:30:35 PM   and the flag salute was given.

PRESENT: Mayor Colinas; Councilmember Corpron-Smith, Gem, Gipson, Nick and Steele, Councilmember Krienke arrived at 7:35PM.

ABSENT: Councilmember Kaemingk.

Public Requests & Oral Communications: None.

Reports of Committees & City Officials:

Councilmember Gipson attended a Community Transit meeting August 6^th. Councilmember Corpron-Smith wanted to remind everyone that Seascare is August 12^th. Councilmember Steele attended an ESCA draft budget meeting July 23^rd and Elected Officials training on July 28^th.

Councilmember Nick reviewed the Claim Warrants August 9^th.

Approval of Minutes:

Mayor Colinas opened for consideration approval of the Brier City Council Minutes of July 28, 2009. Councilmember Nick made a MOTION to approve the Brier City Council Minutes of July 28, 2009. Councilmember Corpron-Smith SECONDED. Councilmember Steele abstained. Motion Carried.

Mayor Colinas opened for consideration approval of the Brier City Council Workshop Minutes of August 4, 2009. Councilmember Nick made a MOTION to approve Brier City Council Minutes of August 4, 2009. Councilmember Gem SECONDED.

Consent Agenda:

Mayor Colinas opened for consideration the authorization of the Mayor’s signature on an SMA Grant Agreement No. G1000037 for the Comprehensive Shoreline Master Program Update. Councilmember Steele made a MOTION to approve authorization of the Mayor’s signature on an SMA Grant Agreement No. G1000037 for the Comprehensive Shoreline Master Program Update. Councilmember Gipson SECONDED.

Mayor Colinas informed Council that Bids for the Bobcat Park were received today.

Auditing of Accounts

Mayor Colinas opened for consideration approval of the July 2009 Payroll Warrants. Councilmember Nick made a MOTION to approve the July 2009 Payroll Warrants No. 15620 through No. 15676 in the amount of $120,646.83. Councilmember Gem SECONDED. Motion Carried.

Mayor Colinas opened for consideration approval of the July 2009 Claim Warrants.  Councilmember Nick made a MOTION to approve the July 2009 Claim Warrants No. 20665 through No. 20726 in the amount of $308,678.35 and voided Warrants No. 20664 and 20688. Councilmember Corpron-Smith SECONDED. Motion Carried.

Mayor Colinas opened for consideration to approve the July 2009 Checks. Councilmember Nick made a MOTION to approve the July 2009 Checks No. 9732 through No. 9743 in the amount of $8,042.44.  Councilmember Steele SECONDED.
