Mayor Colinas called the regular Brier City Council Meeting to order at 7:30:14 PM  and the flag salute was given.

Roll Call:         

 PRESENT:                                 Mayor Colinas; Councilmember Kaemingk, Krienke, Steele, Gallagher, Olson and Nick. Councilmember Corpron-Smith arrived at 7:37:11 PM.

Public Requests & Oral Communications: None

Reports of Committees & City Officials:

Councilmember Krienke attended the Parks Board meeting March 9^th, and reminded Council the Brier Easter Egg Hunt will be April 23^rd.

Councilmember Steele attended an AWC-RMSA board meeting on March 18^th in Olympia.

Councilmember Kaemingk hosted a South Snohomish Cities meeting at Brier City Hall on March 3^rd, will be attending Police Negotiations March 24^th, and a RFA meeting March 29^th.

Councilmember Corpron-Smith attended the Library board meeting March 9^th and discussed the cost of painting the library and new flooring in the bathroom. The Library Board discussed that they would like to meet with Sno-Isle to see how they go about purchasing a building.

Approval of Minutes:

Mayor Colinas opened for consideration approval of the Brier City Council Minutes of March 8, 2011. Councilmember Nick made a MOTION to approve the Brier City Council Minutes of March 8, 2011. Councilmember Olson SECONDED. Motion Carried. Councilmember Gallagher abstained.

Hearings:

Mayor Colinas opened for consideration a decision regarding Ordinance No. 387 adding Chapter 1.32-Code Enforcement to the Brier Municipal Code. Mayor Colinas opened the public hearing at 7:53:15 PM. Mayor Colinas closed the public hearing at 7:53:51 PM. 

Mayor Colinas opened the initial discussion for Business License BR11-004 for John Neal of Neal Construction & Home Improvement, Inc., located at 22830 27^th Ave W, Brier. Nicole Gaudette gave a brief overview of the application and recommended approval. Mayor Colinas opened the Public Hearing at 7:56:48 PM. Mayor Colinas closed the Public Hearing at 7:57:25 PM. Councilmember Steele made a MOTION to approve Business License BR11-004 for John Neal of Neal Construction & Home Improvement, Inc., located at 22830 27^th Ave W, Brier. Councilmember Krienke SECONDED.  Motion Carried.

Ordinances, Resolutions & Orders:

Mayor Colinas opened for consideration a decision regarding adopting Ordinance No. 387 adding Chapter 1.32-Code Enforcement to the Brier Municipal Code. Councilmember Krienke made a MOTION to approve Ordinance No. 387 adding Chapter 1.32-Code Enforcement to the Brier Municipal Code. Councilmember Nick SECONDED.  Motion Carried.

Miscellaneous Business by Call of Councilmembers & City Officials:

Councilmember Olson would like to see Council discuss the business license approval process at the next workshop. Mayor Colinas would like to discuss putting a cell tower on the Library at the next workshop.
