BRIER CITY COUNCIL MINUTES
July 12, 2011
Mayor Colinas called the regular Brier City Council
Meeting to order at 7:30:48 PM no flag salute was given.
Roll Call:
PRESENT: Mayor Colinas; Councilmember, Nick, Kaemingk,
Krienke, Steele, Gallagher and Olson.
ABSENT: Councilmember
Corpron-Smith.
Public
Requests & Oral Communications: None
Reports of
Committees & City Officials:
Councilmember Kaemingk
attended the meeting with the perspective city engineering firms
Councilmember Steele reported that we received a
$350 loss control grant from AWC- RMSA.
Mayor Colinas reported that the SERS Board voted an
8.24% increase for 2012, which he and one other elected official on the board
voted against.
Councilmember Krienke reported that the Parks Board
meeting is tomorrow and they will tour the Locust Creek
Park improvements. He
will attend the RFA level of service meeting on Thursday of this week.
Councilmember Olson attended the police negotiation
meeting on July 7th.
Approval
of Minutes:
Mayor Colinas opened for consideration approval of the Brier City
Council Minutes of June 28, 2011. Councilmember Nick MOVED to approve the Brier City Council Minutes of June
28, 2011. Councilmember Gallagher SECONED. Motion
Carried with Councilmember Kaemingk abstaining.
Miscellaneous
Business by Call of Councilmembers & City Officials:
Councilmember Gallagher will not be able to attend
the August 2nd workshop meeting.
Auditing
of Accounts:
Mayor Colinas opened for consideration approval of the June 2011 Payroll
Checks. Councilmember Steele MOVED to approve
the June 2011 Payroll Checks No. 17797 through No. 17855 in the amount of
$130,690.34. Councilmember Krienke SECONDED. Motion Carried.
Mayor Colinas opened for consideration approval of the June 2011 Claim
Checks. Councilmember Steele MOVED to approve
the June 2011 Claim Checks No. 22307 through No. 22352 in the amount of
$118,439.90. Councilmember Olson SECONDED. Motion
Carried.
Mayor Colinas opened for consideration approval of the June 2011 Checks.
Councilmember Steele MOVED to approve June 2011
Checks No. 9973 through No. 9984 in the amount of $19,204.19 with Check No.
9981 being voided. Councilmember Nick SECONDED. Motion Carried.
