BRIER CITY COUNCIL MINUTES
September 27, 2011
Mayor Colinas called the regular Brier City Council
Meeting to order at 7:30:44 PM and dispensed
with the formality of the flag salute.
Roll Call:
PRESENT: Mayor Colinas;
Councilmember Corpron-Smith, Krienke, Gallagher and Nick.
ABSENT: Councilmember
Kaemingk, Olson and Steele.
Public
Requests & Oral Communications:
Al Ross 3309
214th St SW, had two comments; he
thanked the police department for watching his home last month while they were
away and he thanked public works for the hard work on the drainage project and
it looks like it is going to come to a good close.
Reports of
Committees & City Officials:
Councilmember Nick attended the September 14th
Park Board meeting.
Councilmember Gallagher attended the Library Board
meeting on September 14th.
Approval
of Minutes:
Mayor Colinas opened for consideration approval of the Brier City
Council Minutes of September 13, 20011. Councilmember
Gallagher made a MOTION to approve the Brier City Council Minutes
of September 13, 2011. Councilmember
Corpron-Smith SECONDED. Motion Carried.
Mayor Colinas opened for consideration approval of the Brier City Council
Workshop Minutes of September 20, 2011. Councilmember
Nick made a MOTION to approve Brier City Council Minutes of
September 20, 2011. Councilmember Krienke SECONDED. Motion Carried.
Consent
Agenda:
Mayor Colinas opened for consideration approval of
the consent agenda which includes authorizing the Mayor’s signature on the
license agreement with Snohomish
County for gun range
usage. Councilmember Gallagher made a MOTION to
approve the consent agenda which includes authorizing the Mayor’s signature on
the license agreement with Snohomish
County for gun range
usage. Councilmember Corpron-Smith SECONDED.
Motion carried.
Miscellaneous
Business by Call of Councilmembers & City Officials
Councilmember Krienke made a MOTION
to approve the Mayor
to authorize a fuel purchase in the remaining amount of $12,841.75.
Councilmember Nick SECONDED. Motion
Carried.
The Mayor requested that the Council consider
authorizing the purchase of the Tremble Handheld Unit for use in the Stormwater
cataloging with the funds coming from the Stormwater DOE grant. There was
Council discussion. Councilmember Gallagher made a MOTION to approve the purchase of the Tremble handheld unit from GeoLine, Inc. in an amount not to exceed $9,620.00 plus
sales tax. Councilmember Nick SECONDED.
There was Council discussion. Motion
Carried.
There was no Executive Session needed.
Councilmember Krienke will be absent from next
week’s meeting.
