BRIER CITY COUNCIL MINUTES
November 22, 2011
Mayor Colinas called the regular Brier City Council
Meeting to order at 7:30:08 PM and the flag salute was given.
Roll Call:
PRESENT: Mayor Colinas;
Councilmember Kaemingk, Krienke, Steele, Gallagher, Olson and Nick.
Councilmember Corpron-Smith arrived at7:32:07 PM.
STAFF: Clerk-Treasurer

Public
Requests & Oral Communications: None
Reports of
Committees & City Officials:
Councilmember Kaemingk attended the RFA
Finance Meeting on November 16th as well as the Planning Commission
meeting.
Councilmember Krienke on November 9th
attended the parks board meeting, on November 10th he attended the
RFA Level of Service Meeting and will attend the November 30th RFA
meeting.
Councilmember Olson attended the police
negotiations meeting on November 17th.
Approval
of Minutes:
Mayor Colinas opened for consideration approval of the Brier City
Council Minutes of, November 8, 2011. Councilmember
Steele made a MOTION to approve the Brier City Council Minutes of
November 8, 2011. Councilmember Olson SECONDED.
Motion Carried.
Mayor Colinas opened for consideration approval of the Brier City Council
Workshop Minutes of November 15, 2011. Councilmember
Gallagher made a MOTION to approve Brier City Council Minutes of
November 15, 2011. Councilmember Nick SECONDED.
Motion Carried.
Consent
Agenda:
Mayor Colinas opened for consideration approval of the consent agenda
which includes approval of the contract for services with Inslee Best for 2012,
and the additional cost for the 214th
street sidewalk, curb & gutter repairs by Edge
Concrete in the amount of $2,352.00 for a grand total of $6,517.00. Councilmember Corpron-Smith made a MOTION to approve
the consent agenda which includes approval of the contract for services with

Business, Petitions, Communications, Applications & Appeals:
Mayor Colinas opened for consideration approval of the Interlocal
Agreement between Bothell, Mill Creek & Brier, pertaining to Representation
on the Snohomish Health District Board of Health. Councilmember
Krienke made a MOTION to approve the Interlocal Agreement between
Bothell, Mill Creek & Brier, pertaining to Representation on the Snohomish
Health District Board of Health. Councilmember
Gallagher SECONDED. Motion Carried.
Ordinances,
Resolutions & Orders:
Mayor Colinas opened for consideration approval of Resolution No. 529,
adopting an ethics policy for elected officials. Councilmember
Nick made a MOTION to approve Resolution No. 529, adopting an
ethics policy for elected officials. Councilmember
Steele SECONDED. Motion Carried.
Miscellaneous
Business by Call of Councilmembers & City Officials
Councilmember Nick noted that Councilmember Elect
John Joplin is in attendance this evening.
Councilmember Olson made a MOTION to cancel the
December 6th Workshop meeting. Councilmember Gallagher SECONDED. Motion Carried.
Adjournment
Councilmember Nick made a MOTION to adjourn to
Executive Session to discuss police negotiations. Councilmember Krienke SECONDED.
Motion Carried. Mayor Colinas declared the meeting adjourned to Executive Session for 25
minutes to discuss labor negotiations at 7:52:56 PM.
