BRIER CITY COUNCIL MINUTES

April 24, 2012

Mayor Colinas called the regular Brier City Council Meeting to order at 7:04:55 PM  the flag salute was dispensed with.

 

Roll Call:                 

PRESENT:                                  Mayor Colinas; Councilmember Kaemingk, Krienke, Steele, Gallagher, Olson, Nick and Joplin.

 

Public Requests & Oral Communications: None.

 

Reports of Committees & City Officials:

Councilmember Kaemingk attended the April 18th RFA Finance meeting and the Planning Commission that same evening.

Councilmember Steele on April 4th participated in the Director’s evaluation at ESCA, she reviewed the Annual Report with our Clerk-Treasurer on April 6th and the following week she reviewed the checks for ESCA.

Councilmember Krienke attended the April 12th level of service RFA meeting.

Councilmember Nick attended the April 11th Park Board meeting.

 

Approval of Minutes:

Mayor Colinas opened for consideration approval of the Brier City Council Minutes of April 10, 2012. Councilmember Steele MOVED to approve the Brier City Council Minutes of April 10, 2012. Councilmember Krienke SECONDED. Motion Carried.

 

New Business, Petitions, Communications, Applications & Appeals:

Mayor Colinas opened for consideration approval of the Wetlands & Wildlife, Inc. contract for the critical areas report on Locust Creek Park in an amount not to exceed $3,915.00. Councilmember Gallagher MOVED to approve the Wetlands & Wildlife, Inc. contract for the critical areas report on Locust Creek Park in an amount not to exceed $3,915.00.  Councilmember Nick SECONDED. Motion Carried.

 

Miscellaneous Business by Call of Councilmembers & City Officials:

Mayor Colinas reported that he has a meeting with a member from the Department of Commerce this Friday to discuss the $800,000 grant for the Scriber Creek foot bridge.

 

Councilmember Steele commented that the new library sign looks very nice.

 

Executive Session:

Mayor Colinas adjourned to Executive Session pursuit to RCW 42.30.140(1)(d) to discuss collective bargaining negotiations there will be no action taken afterward and the meeting will last 30 minutes. Motion Carried.

 

Adjournment:

Mayor Colinas declared the meeting adjourned to Executive Session at 7:27:23 PM.
