Mayor Colinas called the regular Brier City Council Meeting to order at 7:00:31 PM  and the flag salute was given.

Roll Call:

ABSENT:                                    Councilmember Joplin.

STAFF:                                       Clerk-Treasurer Swisher and Building Official Beverly.

Public Requests & Oral Communications: None.

Reports of Committees & City Officials:

Councilmember Kaemingk along with Councilmember Krienke and Mayor Colinas attended the May 2^nd RFA joint level of service and finance committee meeting.

Councilmember Steele reviewed the checks on May 6^th.

Approval of Minutes:

Mayor Colinas opened for consideration approval of the Brier City Council Minutes of, April 24, 2012. Councilmember Nick made a MOTION to approve the Brier City Council Minutes of April 24, 2012. Councilmember Olson SECONDED. Motion Carried.

Mayor Colinas opened for consideration approval of the Brier City Council Minutes of May 1, 2012. Councilmember Gallagher made a MOTION to approve Brier City Council Minutes of May 1, 2012. Councilmember Steele SECONDED. Motion Carried.

Hearings:

Mayor Colinas opened the initial discussion to consider a Plat Modification for the Marvel Herzig Short Plat #SP95-05, regarding removal of the sprinkler requirement. Mayor Colinas opened the Public Hearing at 7:14:31 PM. Mayor Colinas closed the Public Hearing at 7:15:18 PM.

Councilmember Kaemingk made a MOTION to approve Resolution #SP95-05.A to remover the sprinkler requirement. Councilmember Olson SECONDED. Motion Carried.

Miscellaneous Business by Call of Councilmembers & City Officials:

Councilmember Krienke made a MOTION to cancel the May 15^th Brier City Council Workshop meeting. Councilmember Gallagher SECONDED. Motion Carried.

Auditing of Accounts:

Mayor Colinas opened for consideration approval of the April 2012 Payroll Checks. Councilmember Steele made a MOTION to approve the April 2012 Payroll Checks No. 18352 through No. 18403 in the amount of $124,206.28. Councilmember Nick SECONDED. Motion Carried.

Mayor Colinas opened for consideration approval of the April 2012 Claim Checks.  Councilmember Steele made a MOTION to approve the April 2012 Claim Checks No. 22887 through No. 22958 in the amount of $140,883.21, with voided Checks No. 22638, 22949, and 22902 through 22907. Councilmember Gallagher SECONDED. Motion Carried.

Mayor Colinas opened for consideration approval of the April 2012 Checks. Councilmember Steele made a MOTION to approve 2012 Checks No. 10060 through No. 10065 in the amount of $38,222.30. Councilmember Krienke SECONDED. Motion Carried.
