BRIER CITY COUNCIL MINUTES
April 23, 2013
Mayor Colinas called the regular Brier City Council
Meeting to order at 7:00:12 PM and the flag salute was dispensed with.
Roll Call:
PRESENT: Mayor Colinas;
Councilmember Kaemingk, Krienke, Steele, Gallagher, Olson, Nick and Joplin.
Public
Requests & Oral Communications: None.
Reports of
Committees & City Officials:
Mayor Colinas shared that we have another police
car that will be removed from service due to engine problems. In addition, he
reported that it looks like we will abandon trying to obtain the easement for
the Locust Creek Park
project and will redesign the trail without the easement.
Councilmember Nick attended the Park’s board
meeting on April 10th.
Approval
of Minutes:
Mayor Colinas opened for consideration approval of the Brier City
Council Minutes of April 9, 2013. Councilmember Steele MOVED to approve the Brier City Council Minutes of April 9,
2013. Councilmember Olson SECONDED. Motion Carried with Councilmember Joplin abstaining.
Mayor Colinas opened for consideration approval of the Brier City Council
Workshop Minutes of April 16, 2013. Councilmember Gallagher MOVED to approve
Brier City Council Workshop Minutes of April 16, 2013.
Councilmember Nick SECONDED. Motion Carried.
Consent
Agenda:
Mayor Colinas opened for consideration approval of
the consent agenda which included the Vivax
Push-Camera from Owens Equipment in an amount not to exceed $11,000 and the
Amendment to the Interlocal Aid Agreement with Snohomish County.
Councilmember Gallagher MOVED to approve the consent agenda as stated. Councilmember
Kaemingk SECONDED. Motion Carried.
Miscellaneous
Business by Call of Councilmembers & City Officials:
Mayor Colinas reported that we open bids today for
the bridge portion of the Scriber
Creek Bridge
project with an apparent low bid of approximately $47,000. We will most likely
have a regular meeting on May 7th to approve the bids and authorize
purchase of the bridge structure.
