Mayor Colinas called the regular Brier City Council Meeting to order at 7:00:08 PM  and the flag salute was dispensed with.

Roll Call:         

 PRESENT:                                 Mayor Colinas; Councilmember Kaemingk, Krienke, Steele, Gallagher, Olson, Nick and Joplin.

Public Requests & Oral Communications: None.

Reports of Committees & City Officials:

Councilmember Kaemingk attended the May 15^th Planning Commission meeting and  met with the Mayor and Councilmember Olson to discuss the Police Contract on May 20^th.

Councilmember Steele reported that the ESCA meeting for this month was postponed until next month due to the WASPC conference.

Approval of Minutes:

Mayor Colinas opened for consideration approval of the Brier City Council Minutes of May 14, 2013. Councilmember Nick MOVED to approve the Brier City Council Minutes of May 14, 2013. Councilmember Olson SECONDED. Motion Carried.

Mayor Colinas opened for consideration approval of the Brier City Council Workshop Minutes of May 21, 2013. Councilmember Nick MOVED to approve the Brier City Council Workshop Minutes of May 21, 2013. Councilmember Steele SECONDED. Motion Carried with Councilmember Gallagher abstaining.

Consent Agenda:

Mayor Colinas opened for consideration approval of the Mayor’s signature in the revised Interlocal Agreement for the Snohomish County Drug Task Force. Councilmember Steele MOVED to approve the Mayor’s signature in the revised Interlocal Agreement for the Snohomish County Drug Task Force. Councilmember Olson SECONDED. Motion Carried.

New Business, Petitions, Communications, Applications & Appeals:

Mayor Colinas opened for consideration the Mayor’s appointment of Harold Wirch to the Planning Commission, Position No. 4. Councilmember Gallagher MOVED to approve the appointment of Harold Wirch to the Planning Commission, Position No. 4. Councilmember Joplin SECONDED. Motion Carried.

Mayor Colinas opened for consideration the authorization to purchase stormwater catch basin filter inserts in the amount of $6,351.00. Purchase is a direct reimbursement from the 2013 Department of ecology Grant. Councilmember Krienke MOVED to approve and authorize the purchase stormwater catch basin filter inserts in the amount of $6,351.00. Councilmember Nick SECONDED. Motion Carried.

Miscellaneous Business by Call of Councilmembers & City Officials:

Councilmember Krienke asked if there would be a police contract for them to approve next week.
