BRIER CITY COUNCIL MINUTES

October 28, 2014

Mayor Pro-Tem Krienke called the regular Brier City Council Meeting to order at 7:01:19 PM.

 

Roll Call:                 

PRESENT:                                  Councilmember Gallagher, Krienke, Nick, Olson and Steele.

ABSENT:                                    Mayor Colinas; Councilmember Joplin and Kaemingk.

STAFF:                                       City Clerk-Treasurer Swisher.

 

Public Requests & Oral Communications: None.

 

Reports of Committees & City Officials:

Councilmember Steele had an ESCA meeting with the director on the 16th and a full board meeting on the 23rd.

 

Approval of Minutes:

Mayor Pro-Tem Krienke opened for consideration approval of the Brier City Council Minutes of October 14, 2014. Councilmember Nick made a MOTION to approve the Brier City Council Minutes of October 14, 2014. Councilmember Olson SECONDED. Motion Carried.

 

Hearings:

Mayor Pro-Tem Krienke opened the Public Hearing on Ordinance No. 419, levying the General Taxes for the City of Brier for 2015 at 7:04:04 PM. No public was present. Mayor Pro-Tem Krienke closed the Public Hearing at 7:05:01 PM.

 

Ordinances, Resolutions & Orders:

Mayor Pro-Tem Krienke opened for consideration approval of Ordinance No. 419, levying the General Taxes for the City of Brier for 2015.  Councilmember Steele made a MOTION to approve Ordinance No. 419, levying the General Taxes for the City of Brier for 2015. Councilmember Gallagher SECONDED. Motion Carried.

 

Miscellaneous Business by Call of Councilmembers & City Officials:

Mayor Pro-Tem Krienke opened for consideration the cancellation and rescheduling of the November 11th Brier City Council meeting in observance of the Veteran’s Day holiday. Councilmember Gallagher made a MOTION to approve the cancellation and rescheduling of the November 11th Brier City Council meeting in observance of the Veteran’s Day holiday to Thursday, November 13th at 7pm. Councilmember Steele SECONDED. Motion Carried.

 

Councilmember Steele asked if someone knowledgeable could walk the Brier Park trail because she thinks it looks like it could be compromised for possible weather damage.
