Mayor Colinas called the regular Brier City Council Meeting to order at 7:00:09 PM   and the flag salute was dispensed with.

Reports of Committees & City Officials:

Councilmember Nick has a Parks Board meeting tomorrow evening May 13, 2015.

Councilmember Gallagher has a Library Board meeting tomorrow evening May 13, 2015.

Councilmember Joplin attended the Snohomish Health Board meeting today.

Councilmember Steele has a meeting with the ESCA Director on Thursday, May 14, 2015.

Approval of Minutes:

Mayor Colinas opened for consideration approval of the Brier City Council Minutes of April 28, 2015 and the Brier City Council Workshop Minutes of May 5, 2015. Councilmember Gallagher made a MOTION to approve the Brier City Council Minutes of April 28, 2015 and the Brier City Council Workshop Minutes of May 5, 2015. Councilmember Steele SECONDED. Motion Carried.

Consent Agenda:

Mayor Colinas opened for consideration the authorization for Public Works to expend up to $12,500.00 with Precision Concrete Cutting of Washington to repair miscellaneous sidewalk trip hazards within the city. Councilmember Gallagher made a MOTION to approve Public Works to expend up to $12,500.00 with Precision Concrete Cutting of Washington to repair miscellaneous sidewalk trip hazards within the city. Councilmember Olson SECONDED. Motion Carried.

Ordinances, Resolutions & Orders:

Mayor Colinas opened for consideration Resolution No. 554, authorizing the city’s designated representative to the Board of Directors of the Emergency Services Coordinating Agency to vote to dissolve the organization no later than December 31, 2015.  Councilmember Steele made a MOTION to approve Resolution No. 554, authorizing the city’s designated representative to the Board of Directors of the Emergency Services Coordinating Agency to vote to dissolve the organization no later than December 31, 2015. Councilmember Nick SECONDED.  Motion Carried.

Miscellaneous Business by Call of Councilmembers & City Officials:

Mayor Colinas reported that we have no business to discuss for next week’s workshop meeting and asked if anyone would like to make a motion to cancel.

Councilmember Gallagher made a MOTION to cancel the Brier City Council Workshop meeting of May 19, 2015. Councilmember Olson SECONDED. Motion Carried.

Auditing of Accounts:

Mayor Colinas opened for consideration approval of the April 2015 Payroll Checks. Councilmember Steele made a MOTION to approve the April 2015 Payroll Checks No. 28491 through No.28520, No. 28594 through No. 28619 and No. 28623 through No. 28650 in the amount of $202,008.90 . Councilmember Nick SECONDED. Motion Carried.

Mayor Colinas opened for consideration approval of the April 2015 Claim Checks.  Councilmember Steele made a MOTION to approve the April 2015 Claim Checks No. 28620, 28621 and No. 28651 through No. 28709 in the amount of $108,242.77 and voided Check No. 28622. Councilmember Gallagher SECONDED. Motion Carried.
