Mayor Colinas called the regular Brier City Council Meeting to order at 7:00:18 PM and the flag salute was given.

Roll Call:

PRESENT:                                  Mayor Colinas; Councilmember Gallagher, Joplin, Kaemingk, Nick, Olson and Steele.

ABSENT:                                    Councilmember Krienke.

STAFF:                                       City Clerk-Treasurer Swisher.

Public Requests & Oral Communications:

Ken Yohe, Brier, thanks the City, the Mayor, Rich Maag and Mike Barker for cleaning up the mess on 231^st.

Bob Jenista, Brier, asked who is in charge of the Waste Management contract. This is the second time that Waste Management has screwed up; last week the yard waste truck dumped his entire container into the garbage truck and he’s had to call twice to try and get it resolved and get a new container. They are not responsive to his calls. He also asked why the Community Transit DART program will not make pick-ups/drop-offs in our city.

Reports of Committees & City Officials:

Councilmember Nick will attend the Parks Board meeting tomorrow evening.

Councilmember Steele reviewed the claim checks this past weekend and will meet with Clerk-Treasurer Swisher to go over the annual report tomorrow.

Councilmember Joplin attended the Snohomish County Health Board meeting today.

Approval of Minutes:

Mayor Colinas opened for consideration approval of the Brier City Council Minutes of May 26, 2015. Councilmember Nick made a MOTION to approve the Brier City Council Minutes of May 26, 2015. Councilmember Gallagher SECONDED. Motion Carried.

Miscellaneous Business by Call of Councilmembers & City Officials

Councilmember Steele commented on how great the parks are looking, especially Brierwood, she also mentioned a pothole on Poplar Way and 214^th.

Mayor Colinas asked the Council their opinion on an administrative decision he is making regarding a redundant walkway within the new developments that would walk behind citizen’s homes while there is lighted sidewalks available.

Auditing of Accounts:

Mayor Colinas opened for consideration approval of the May 2015 Payroll Checks. Councilmember Steele made a MOTION to approve the May 2015 Payroll Checks No. 28710 through No. 28730 and No. 28732 through No. 28764 in the amount of $125,727.47. Councilmember Kaemingk SECONDED. Motion Carried.

Mayor Colinas opened for consideration approval of the May 2015 Claim Checks.  Councilmember Steele made a MOTION to approve the May 2015 Claim Checks No. 28731 and No. 28765 through No. 28813 in the amount of $280,199.94. Councilmember Nick SECONDED. Motion Carried.
