Mayor Colinas called the regular Brier City Council Meeting to order at 7:02:22 PM.

Roll Call:

PRESENT:                                  Mayor Colinas; Councilmember Gallagher, Joplin, Kaemingk, Krienke, Nick, Olson and Steele.

STAFF:                                       City Clerk-Treasurer Swisher.

Public Requests & Oral Communications:

M.L. DeMorett, Brier - asked when they will be doing the overlay on Brier Road.

Reports of Committees & City Officials:

Councilmember Steele reviewed the claim checks on February 6^th.

Approval of Minutes:

Mayor Colinas opened for consideration approval of the Brier City Council Minutes of January 26, 2016. Councilmember Gallagher made a MOTION to approve the Brier City Council Minutes of January 26, 2016. Councilmember Nick SECONDED. Motion Carried.

Ordinances, Resolutions & Orders

Mayor Colinas opened for consideration approval of Resolution No. 558 amending the City Fee Schedule. Councilmember Gallagher made a MOTION to approve Resolution No. 558 amending the City Fee Schedule. Councilmember Olson SECONDED. Motion Carried.

Miscellaneous Business by Call of Councilmembers & City Officials

Mayor Colinas asked if any of the Council had received the training login for the OPMA training.

Mayor Colinas asked the Council how they felt about our ten percent late fee for the sewer bills.

Councilmember Steele stated that the dog waste station in Brier Park is located in such a place that it is very wet and muddy and asked to have it relocated.

Mayor Colinas asked for a confirmation of Joe Jonart’s appointment to the Planning Commission. Councilmember Kaemingk made a MOTION to confirm the Mayor’s appointment of Joe Jonart to the Planning Commission. Councilmember Gallagher SECONDED. Motion Carried.

Auditing of Accounts:

Mayor Colinas opened for consideration approval of the January 2016 Payroll Checks. Councilmember Steele made a MOTION to approve the January 2016 Payroll Checks No. 29603 through No. 29620 and No. 29697 through No. 29727 in the amount of $150,233.56. Councilmember Nick SECONDED. Motion Carried.

Mayor Colinas opened for consideration approval of the January 2016 Claim Checks.  Councilmember Steele made a MOTION to approve the January 2016 Claim Checks No. 29745 through No. 29811 in the amount of $199,229.92 and voided Check No. 29656. Councilmember Gallagher SECONDED. Motion Carried.
