Mayor Colinas called the regular Brier City Council Meeting to order at 7:00:10 PM and the flag salute was given.

STAFF:                                       City Clerk-Treasurer Swisher; City Planner Gaudette.

Reports of Committees & City Officials:

Councilmember Steele reviewed the claim checks on March 5^th.

Approval of Minutes:

Mayor Colinas opened for consideration approval of the Brier City Council Minutes of February 23, 2016. Councilmember Gallagher made a MOTION to approve the Brier City Council Minutes of February 23, 2016. Councilmember Nick SECONDED. Motion Carried.

Public Hearings:

Mayor Colinas asked City Planner Gaudette to give a brief overview of the ordinance and the changes. Mayor Colinas opened the public hearing on Ordinance No. 426.A, amending Critical Areas at 7:04:46 PM. Mayor Colinas closed the public hearing at 7:05:32 PM.

Ordinances, Resolutions & Orders

Mayor Colinas opened for consideration approval of Ordinance No. 426.A, amending Critical Areas. Councilmember Steele made a MOTION to approve Ordinance No. 426.A, amending Critical Areas. Councilmember Olson SECONDED. There was Council discussion. Motion Carried.

Miscellaneous Business by Call of Councilmembers & City Officials

Mayor Colinas shared with the Council the color scheme that the library staff has chosen. He explained that this would be a long term color scheme. The Mayor handed out the bids for having the library painted and asked if the Council would authorize the low bid. Councilmember Joplin made a MOTION to authorize the Mayor’s signature and approve the funding for the library painting by DaVinci Painting Co. in an amount not to exceed $3,800. Councilmember Steele SECONDED. Motion Carried.

Auditing of Accounts:

Mayor Colinas opened for consideration approval of the February 2016 Payroll Checks. Councilmember Steele made a MOTION to approve the February 2016 Payroll Checks No. 29728 through No. 29744 and No. 29812 through No. 29842 in the amount of $114,995.35. Councilmember Nick SECONDED. Motion Carried.

Mayor Colinas opened for consideration approval of the February 2016 Claim Checks.  Councilmember Steele made a MOTION to approve the February 2016 Claim Checks No. 29860 through No. 29911 in the amount of $181,728.59 and void Check No. 28421. Councilmember Gallagher SECONDED. Motion Carried.
