Mayor Colinas called the regular Brier City Council Meeting to order at 7:01:26 PM.

Roll Call:

PRESENT:                                  Mayor Colinas; Councilmember Joplin, Kaemingk, Krienke, Nick, Olson and Steele.

ABSENT:                                    Councilmember Gallagher.

STAFF:                                       City Clerk-Treasurer Swisher.

Public Requests & Oral Communications: None.

Reports of Committees & City Officials:

Councilmember Steele reviewed the claim checks on May 7^th.

Councilmember Nick will attend the Park Board meeting tomorrow evening.

Councilmember Olsen will participate in the first Police Negotiations meeting tomorrow evening.

Approval of Minutes:

Mayor Colinas opened for consideration approval of the Brier City Council Minutes of April 26, 2016. Councilmember Nick made a MOTION to approve the Brier City Council Minutes of April 26, 2016. Councilmember Olson SECONDED. Motion Carried.

Mayor Colinas opened for consideration approval of the Brier City Council Workshop Minutes of May 3, 2016. Councilmember Nick made a MOTION to approve the Brier City Council Workshop Minutes of May 3, 2016. Councilmember Joplin SECONDED.

Motion Carried.

Miscellaneous Business by Call of Councilmembers & City Officials

Councilmember Joplin will be absent the next two meetings.

Councilmember Steele commented on how great Brier Park looks and how nice the exercise equipment is.

Councilmember Nick has had people inquire about the old car tires on side of the road on Brier road. Mayor Colinas assured him that our Code Enforcement Officer has been in contact with the home owner and that they are working with him to address the issue.

Auditing of Accounts:

Mayor Colinas opened for consideration approval of the April 2016 Payroll Checks. Councilmember Steele made a MOTION to approve the April 2016 Payroll Checks No. 30037 through No. 30087 in the amount of $133,330.42. Councilmember Joplin SECONDED. Motion Carried.

Mayor Colinas opened for consideration approval of the April 2016 Claim Checks.  Councilmember Steele made a MOTION to approve the April 2016 Claim Checks No. 30088 through No. 30154 in the amount of $233,387.22. Councilmember Olson SECONDED. Motion Carried.
