Mayor Colinas called the regular Brier City Council Meeting to order at 7:00:15 PM.

Roll Call:

PRESENT:                                  Mayor Colinas; Councilmember Gallagher, Joplin, Kaemingk, Krienke, Nick, Olson and Steele.

STAFF:                                       City Clerk-Treasurer Swisher.

Public Requests & Oral Communications: None.

Reports of Committees & City Officials:

Councilmember Joplin attended the Snohomish County Performance Audit meeting last week and they went over the two items that were highlighted topics from last year.

Councilmember Steele reviewed the Claim Checks on October 8, 2016.

Approval of Minutes:

Mayor Colinas opened for consideration approval of the Brier City Council Minutes of September 27, 2016. Councilmember Nick made a MOTION to approve the Brier City Council Minutes of September 27, 2016. Councilmember Olson SECONDED. Motion Carried.

Mayor Colinas opened for consideration approval of the Brier City Council Workshop Minutes of October 4, 2016. Councilmember Gallagher made a MOTION to approve the Brier City Council Workshop Minutes of October 4, 2016. Councilmember Steele SECONDED. Motion Carried.

New Business, Petitions, Communications, Application Appeals:

Mayor Colinas opened for consideration authorization of the 2016 vehicle fuel purchase in the amount not to exceed $13,000. Councilmember Krienke made a MOTION to approve authorization of the 2016 vehicle fuel purchase in the amount not to exceed $13,000. Councilmember Joplin SECONDED. Motion Carried.

Miscellaneous Business by Call of Councilmembers & City Officials

Mayor Colinas discussed the trail at Locust Creek Park being closed off by the homeowner and the public comments that have been received regarding it.

Auditing of Accounts:

Mayor Colinas opened for consideration approval of the September 2016 Payroll Checks. Councilmember Steele made a MOTION to approve the September 2016 Payroll Checks No. 30562 through No. 30582, No. 30660 through No. 30678 and No. 30683 through No. 30726 in the amount of $220,389.50 and void Checks No. 30688, 30691, 30693, 30694, 30696, 30702, 30703 and 30707. Councilmember Nick SECONDED. Motion Carried.

Mayor Colinas opened for consideration approval of the September 2016 Claim Checks.  Councilmember Steele made a MOTION to approve the September 2016 Claim Checks No. 30679 through No. 30682 and No. 30727 through No. 30781 in the amount of $204,765.13. Councilmember Gallagher SECONDED. Motion Carried.
