Mayor Pro-Tem Krienke called the regular Brier City Council Meeting to order at 7:00:31 PM and the flag salute was given.

Roll Call:

PRESENT:                                  Councilmember Gallagher, Joplin, Kaemingk, Krienke, Nick and Steele.

ABSENT:                                    Mayor Colinas and Councilmember Olson.

STAFF:                                       City Clerk-Treasurer Swisher.

Public Requests & Oral Communications: None.

Reports of Committees & City Officials:

Councilmember Kaemingk attended the March 8^th Library Board meeting and noted that there is a new librarian.

Councilmember Steele came in on March 11^th reviewed the claim checks.

Councilmember Krienke met with the Mayor and a representative from Prothman regarding the search for the new Fire Chief for Fire District #1.

Councilmember Nick attended the March 8^th Park Board meeting.

Approval of Minutes:

Mayor Pro-Tem Krienke opened for consideration approval of the Brier City Council Minutes of February 28, 2017. Councilmember Nick made a MOTION to approve the Brier City Council Minutes of 2017. Councilmember Gallagher SECONDED. Motion Carried.

New Business:

Mayor Pro-Tem Krienke opened for consideration of authorization for Innovac to clean Stormwater basins for an amount not to exceed $13,110.93.   Councilmember Nick made a MOTION to authorize Innovac to clean Stormwater basins for an amount not to exceed $13,110.93. Councilmember Joplin SECONDED. Motion Carried.

Miscellaneous Business by Call of Councilmembers & City Officials

Mayor Pro-Tem Krienke stated that Councilmember Gallagher is not able to attend the Planning Commission meeting tomorrow evening and asked if anyone else wished to attend otherwise he will attend.

Auditing of Accounts:

Mayor Pro-Tem Krienke opened for consideration approval of the February 2017 Payroll Checks.  Councilmember Steele made a MOTION to approve the February 2017 Payroll Checks No. 31196 through No. 31214, No. 31289 through No. 31322 and No. 31324 through No. 31342 in the amount of $201,087.96 and void check #31211 . Councilmember Gallagher SECONDED. Motion Carried.

Mayor Pro-Tem Krienke opened for consideration approval of the February 2017 Claim Checks.   Councilmember Steele made a MOTION to approve the February 2017 Claim Checks No. 31323, No. 31396 through No. 31448 in the amount of $249,287.84 and void checks #31343 through 31395. Councilmember Kaemingk SECONDED. Motion Carried.
