BRIER CITY COUNCIL MINUTES
June 6, 2017
Mayor Colinas called the regular Brier City Council
Meeting to order at 7:00:25 PM and the flag salute was given.
Roll Call:
PRESENT:Mayor Colinas;
Councilmember Gallagher, Joplin, Kaemingk, Krienke, Steele and Thorpe.
ABSENT: Councilmember Nick.
STAFF: City
Clerk-Treasurer Swisher.
Public
Requests & Oral Communications:
Barbara Hoppe, Brier, has concerns about Brier and
will be attending another meeting at another time to address her concerns.
Reports of
Committees & City Officials:
Councilmember Gallaher attended the Planning Commission
on May 24th.
Approval
of Minutes:
Mayor Colinas opened for consideration approval of the Brier City
Council Minutes of May 23, 2017. Councilmember
Gallagher made a MOTION to approve the Brier City Council Minutes
of May 23, 2017. Councilmember Steele SECONDED.
Motion Carried.
Mayor Colinas opened for consideration approval of the Brier City
Council Workshop Minutes of May 23, 2017. Councilmember
Steele made a MOTION to approve the Brier City Council Workshop
Minutes of May 23, 2017. Councilmember Gallagher SECONDED.
Motion Carried.
New
Business, Petitions, Communications, Application Appeals:
Mayor Colinas opened consideration for the authorization of his
signature on the agreement for the Small Capital Projects Partnership Program
with Snohomish County. Councilmember Krienke made a MOTION
to authorize the Mayor’s signature on the agreement for the Small Capital
Projects Partnership Program with Snohomish County.
Councilmember Joplin SECONDED. Motion Carried.
Ordinances,
Resolutions & Orders
Mayor Colinas opened for consideration approval of Resolution No. 565,
adopting a Six Year Comprehensive Street Program. Councilmember
Kaemingk made a MOTION to approve Resolution No. 565, adopting a
Six Year Comprehensive Street Program Councilmember
Steele SECONDED. Motion Carried.
Miscellaneous
Business by Call of Councilmembers & City Officials
The Mayor informed the Council that information
regarding the Greben development was included in the Council packet for longer
review and it will come to the Council at next week's public hearing.
The Mayor informed the Council about possibly bringing
forward bids for the City Hall HVAC system at next week's meeting.
Adjournment
Mayor Colinas adjourned the meeting to workshop at 7:14:56 PM.
