BRIER CITY COUNCIL MINUTES
June 13, 2017
Mayor Pro-Tem Krienke called the regular Brier City
Council Meeting to order at 7:00:24 PM and the flag salute was given.
Roll Call:
PRESENT: Councilmember Gallagher, Joplin, Kaemingk,
Krienke, Nick, Steele and Thorpe.
ABSENT:Mayor Colinas.
STAFF:City
Clerk-Treasurer Swisher; City Planner Balisky.
Reports of
Committees & City Officials:
Councilmember Nick will attend the Parks Board
meeting tomorrow night June 14th.
Councilmember Steele reviewed the claim checks on
Saturday June 10th.
Approval
of Minutes:
Mayor Pro-Tem Krienke opened for consideration approval of the Brier
City Council Minutes of June 6, 2017.Councilmember
Steele made a MOTION to approve the Brier City Council Minutes of
June 6, 2017.
Councilmember Kaemingk SECONDED. Motion
Carried.
Mayor Pro-Tem Krienke opened for consideration approval of the Brier
City Council Workshop Minutes of June 6, 2017.Councilmember
Gallagher made a MOTION to approve the Brier City Council
Workshop Minutes of June 6, 2017. Councilmember
Joplin SECONDED. Motion Carried.
New
Business, Petitions, Communications, Application Appeals:
Mayor Pro-Tem Krienke opened for consideration the
Proposed Lot Line Adjustment LL17-01, Critical Areas, CAR17-01 and Variance
V17-01 for the Greben Property located at 3201 Alaska Rd. City Planner Balisky
gave an overview of the project. There was council discussion. Councilmember Steele made a MOTION to
approve Lot Line Adjustment LL17-01, Critical Areas, CAR17-01 and Variance
V17-01 for the Greben Property located at 3201 Alaska Rd. Councilmember Gallagher SECONDED. Motion
Carried.
Mayor Pro-Tem Krienke opened for consideration the Proposed Lot Line Adjustment
LL17-01, Critical Areas, CAR17-02 and Variance V17-02 for the Greben Property
located at 3201 Alaska Rd. Councilmember Gallagher
made a MOTION to approve Lot Line Adjustment LL17-01, Critical
Areas, CAR17-02 and Variance V17-02 for the Greben Property located at 3201
Alaska Rd. Councilmember Thorpe SECONDED.
Motion Carried.
Mayor Pro-Tem Krienke stated the Collective Bargaining
Agreement with the Sno-King Eddie Thomas Memorial FOP Lodge #30 has been
approved and signed by thecollective
bargaining unit. A copy is on available for your review and he would entertain
a motion to authorize the Mayor's signature. Councilmember Kaemingk made a MOTION
to authorize the Mayor to sign the agreement. Councilmember Nick SECONDED.
Motioned Carried.
Consideration
of BIDS, L.I.D.S & Related Matters:
Mayor Pro-Tem Krienke opened for consideration of the Bid from AirPros
for the HVAC replacement in an amount not to exceed $7,500.00. Councilmember Joplin made a MOTION to approve
the Bid from AirPros for the HVAC replacement in an amount not to exceed
$7,500.00. Councilmember Thorpe SECONDED. Motion
Carried.
Ordinances,
Resolutions & Orders:
Mayor Pro-Tem Krienke opened for consideration approval of Ordinance No.
445, changes relating to the Home Occupation Business Licensing. City Planner
Balisky reviewed the details of the ordinance. Councilmember
Nick made a MOTION to approve Ordinance No. 445. Councilmember Gallagher SECONDED. Motion
Carried.
Auditing
of Accounts:
Mayor Pro-Tem Krienke opened for consideration approval of the May 2017
Payroll Checks. Councilmember Steele made a MOTION
to approve the May 2017 Payroll Checks No. 31701 through 31719 and No.
31726 through 31758 in the amount of $151,340.23 and voided Check No. 31745. Councilmember Nick SECONDED. Motion Carried.
Mayor Pro-Tem Krienke opened for consideration approval of the May 2017
Claim Checks. Councilmember Steele made a MOTION
to approve the May 2017 Claim Checks No. 31720 through 31841 in the amount
of $355,911.59, EFT Payments in the amount of $283.40
and voided Checks No. 28421, 28834, 30339 and 31098 in the amount of $1,821.35.
Councilmember Gallagher SECONDED. Motion Carried.
