Mayor Colinas called the regular Brier City Council Meeting to order at 7:00 PM.

Councilmember Steele stated she reviewed claim checks last week for June 2017.

Approval of Minutes:

Mayor Colinas opened for consideration approval of the Brier City Council Minutes of June 27, 2017. Motion: Approve the Brier City Council Minutes of June 27, 2017. Moved by Councilmember Nick, Seconded by Councilmember Gallagher. Motion Carried.

New Business, Petitions, Communications, Application Appeals:

Mayor Colinas opened for consideration approval of the Mayor's re-appointment of David Marley to the Planning Commission Position No. 3, with a term to expire July 31, 2019. Motion: Approve the Mayor's re-appointment of David Marley to the Planning Commission Position No. 3, with a term to expire July 31, 2019, Moved by Councilmember Steele, Seconded by Councilmember Krienke. Motion Carried.

Mayor Colinas opened for consideration approval of the Mayor's appointment of Tom Hanson to the Planning Commission Position No. 5, with a term to expire January 31, 2018. Auditing of Accounts:

Mayor Colinas opened for consideration approval of the June 2017 Payroll Checks.Motion: Approve the June 2017 Payroll Checks No. 31761 through 31777 and No. 31848 through 31879 in the amount of $134,073.37. Moved by Councilmember Steele, Seconded by Councilmember Nick. Motion Carried

Mayor Colinas opened for consideration approval of the June 2017 Claim Checks. Motion: Approve the June 2017 Claim Checks No. 31842 through 31923, Checks No. 31948 through No. 31950 in the amount of $348,404.90, EFT Payment in the amount of $344.98 and voided Check No. 31681 in the amount of $278.67 and voided Checks No.

31885, 31892, 31897 and 31908. Moved by Councilmember Steele, Seconded by Councilmember Gallagher. Motion Carried

Miscellaneous Business:

Mayor Colinas stated the complaint call volume regarding the fireworks on July 4th was similar to last year and he have not received any complaints via email.

Mayor Colinas reminded the Council that Chief Catlett will be holding a Crime Prevention meeting on July 26^th from 7:00-8:00pm at City Hall for the homeowners of Brier to ask questions and to talk about ideas as to how to protect their homes.
