Mayor Colinas called the regular Brier City Council Meeting to order at 7:00 PM.

Roll Call:

Present:Mayor Colinas, Councilmember Gallagher, Joplin, Krienke, Nick, and Steele. Councilmember Thorpe arrived at 7:17 PM.

Absent: Councilmember Kaemingk

Public Requests & Oral Communications:

Introduction and presentation by Chief Stedman from South County Fire and passed out their annual report.

Reports of Committees & City Officials:

Councilmember Steele reviewed the claim checks on Saturday.

Approval of Minutes:

Miscellaneous Business by Call of Councilmembers & City Officials:

Mayor Colinas asked if the Council would consider a last minute addition, he received a request from Public Works Supervisor, Steve Smith, for consideration to release the Subdivision Maintenance Bond #859952S, in the amount of $192,907.69 for the Fisken Plat. Motion: Approve the release of the Subdivision Maintenance Bond #859952S, in the amount of $192,907.69 for the Fisken Plat. Moved by Councilmember Gallagher, Seconded by Councilmember Joplin. Motion Carried.

Mayor Colinas informed the Council that the Chief and he had planned to discuss with them about National Night Out as this year is a year where NNO and SeaScare are back to back. We run into the issue where it requires us to make the officers work overtime for these nights. One of the ideas is that we cancel NNO for this year, there will be a conversation with the Parks Board as they help with NNO and run the SeaScare event.

Auditing of Accounts:

Mayor Colinas opened for consideration approval of the March 2018 Payroll Checks. Motion: Approve the March 2018 Payroll Check No. 32873, Checks No. 32905 through No. 32914 and EFTs in the amount of $146,276.83. Moved by Councilmember Steele, Seconded by Councilmember Gallagher. Motion Carried.

Mayor Colinas opened for consideration approval of the March 2018 Claim Checks. Motion: Approve the March 2018 Claim Checks No. 32915 through No. 32951 in the amount of $25,214.26. Moved by Councilmember Steele, Seconded by Councilmember Nick. Motion Carried.
