Mayor Colinas called the regular Brier City Council Meeting to order at 7:00 PM and the flag salute was given.

Roll Call:

Present: Mayor Colinas, Councilmembers Gallagher, Joplin, Kaemingk, Krienke, Nick, Steele and Thorpe.

Staff: Clerk-Treasurer Swisher and Planner Flathman.

Public Requests & Oral Communications: None.

Reports of Committees & City Officials:

Councilmember Steele reviewed the claim checks over the weekend.

Councilmember Nick will attend the library board meeting on May 9th.

Councilmember Thorpe will attend the parks board meeting on May 9th.

Approval of Minutes:

Mayor Colinas opened for consideration approval of the Brier City Council Minutes of April 24, 2018. Motion: Approve the Brier City Council Minutes of April 24, 2018. Moved by Councilmember Gallagher, Seconded by Councilmember Nick. Motion Carried.

New Business, Petitions, Communications, Application Appeals:

Mayor Colinas opened for review and consideration of SUB18-01 known as Vine 13, a 13 Lot Subdivision by Tim Kaintz located at 2588 Vine Road. Planner Flathman gave an overview of the project and the conditions along with the recommendation of the Planning Commission and Staff. There was Council discussion and questions asked of the engineer for the project, Maher Joudi.

Ordinances, Resolutions & Orders

Mayor Colinas opened for consideration of Resolution No. 570, granting Preliminary Plat approval of the Vine 13 Subdivision and imposing terms and conditions. Moved by Councilmember Gallagher, Seconded by Councilmember Joplin.There was Council discussion. Motion Carried.

Miscellaneous Business by Call of Councilmembers & City Officials:

Councilmember Krienke may be late to next week's meeting.

Auditing of Accounts:

Mayor Colinas opened for consideration approval of the April 2018 Payroll Checks. Motion: Approve the April 2018 Payroll Check No. 32952, Checks No. 32995 through No. 33005 and EFTs in the amount of $134,101.53. Moved by Councilmember Steele, Seconded by Councilmember Kaemingk. Motion Carried.

Mayor Colinas opened for consideration approval of the April 2018 Claim Checks.  Motion: Approve the April 2018 Claim Check No. 32994, Checks No. 33006 through No. 33037 and EFT's in the amount of $83,304.76. Moved by Councilmember Steele, Seconded by Councilmember Thorpe. Motion Carried.
