Mayor Colinas called the regular Brier City Council Meeting to order at 7:00 PM and the flag salute was given.

Roll Call:

Present: Mayor Colinas, Councilmembers Gallagher, Joplin, Kaemingk, Krienke, Nick, Steele and Thorpe.

Public Requests & Oral Communications:

A young gentleman by the name of Jackson is working on his Eagle Scout project and is interested in learning about our Community and is attending the Council meeting to participate a community event for his citizenship in the community.

Reports of Committees & City Officials:

Councilmember Gallagher stated the Planning Commission met last week and the official launch of the changes to the Comprehensive Plan were discussed.

Councilmember Nick stated the Library Board met last week, the new Library signs look great and the board members are happy.

Councilmember Steele reviewed claim checks over the weekend.

Councilmember Kaemingk requested changes from Councilmembers for committee changes, if interested in a change please email and let him know.

Approval of Minutes:

Mayor Colinas opened for consideration approval of the Brier City Council Minutes of January 8, 2019. Motion: Approve the Brier City Council Minutes of January 8, 2019.  Moved by Councilmember Gallagher, Seconded by Councilmember Nick. Motioned Carried.

Miscellaneous Business by Call of Councilmembers & City Officials:

Mayor Colinas asked council if they would like to cancel the workshop meeting on February 5th but if the Council is needing to address the trail-use easement for Wynbrook at Mtn. View Park the meeting could be called back into session. The Mayor reminded Council that he has the authority to call a meeting into session if a motion needs to be made. Motion: Cancellation of the February 5^th Council workshop meeting. Moved by Councilmember Gallagher, Seconded by Councilmember Nick. Motion Carried.

Auditing of Accounts:

Mayor Colinas opened for consideration approval of the December 2018 Claim Checks.   Motion: Approve the December 2018 Claim Checks No. 40357 through No. 40380 in the amount of $28,030.69. Moved by Councilmember Steele, Seconded by Councilmember Kaemingk. Motion Carried.

Mayor Colinas opened for consideration approval of the January 2019 Claim Checks.   Motion: Approve the January 2019 Claim Checks No. 40347 and Check No. 40381 through No. 40405 in the amount of $469,247.28. Moved by Councilmember Steele, Seconded by Councilmember Thorpe. Motion Carried.
