Mayor Colinas called the regular Brier City Council Meeting to order at 7:00 PM and the flag salute was given.

Roll Call:

Present: Mayor Colinas, Councilmembers Gallagher, Joplin, Krienke, Nick, Steele, and Thorpe.

Absent: Councilmember Kaemingk, Planner Flathman.

Staff: Clerk-Treasurer Swisher.

Public Requests & Oral Communications:

Mayor Colinas opened the floor for the presentation by Alderwood & Wastewater District regarding leak detection.

Rita Irvine, Brier, she has lived in her home for 30 years. They share a driveway easement with two other homes. They have an issue with the neighbors closest to them and are looking for advice on how the city's code will help them to get the issues straightened out. They may have to consider moving because of the harassment level.

Reports of Committees & City Officials:

Councilmember Steele reviewed claim checks over the weekend.

Councilmember Gallagher attended the May 15^th Planning Commission meeting.

Approval of Minutes:

Mayor Colinas opened for consideration approval of the Brier City Council Minutes of May 14, 2019. Motion: Approve the Brier City Council Minutes of May 14, 2019. Moved by Councilmember Gallagher, Seconded by Councilmember Nick.

 Motion Carried.

Hearings:

Mayor Colinas opened discussion of the Public Hearing on the 2019 Comprehensive Plan Amendments to the Capital Facilities Plan. Mayor Colinas opened the Public Hearing at 8:03 PM. There was no public in attendance at this time. Mayor Colinas closed the Public Hearing at 8:04 PM.

Motion: Council accepts staff recommendation to bring the update of the Comprehensive Plan, Capital Facilities Element to the Planning Commission for process and public comment. Moved by Councilmember Krienke, Seconded by Councilmember Thorpe. Motion Carried.

Miscellaneous Business by Call of Councilmembers & City Officials:

Mayor Colinas stated there was no business for the June 4^th workshop meeting. Motion: Cancel the June 4^th workshop meeting. Moved by Councilmember Gallagher, Seconded by Councilmember Nick. Motion Carried.

Auditing of Accounts:

Mayor Colinas opened for consideration approval of the May 2019 Claim Checks.  Motion: Approve the May 2019 Claim Checks No. 40698 through No. 40702, Checks No. 40710 through No. 40733 and EFT transactions in the amount of $81,649.21 and voided check No. 40697. Moved by Councilmember Steele, Seconded by Councilmember Nick. Motion Carried.
