Mayor Colinas called the regular Brier City Council Meeting to order at 7:00 PM and the flag salute was given.

Roll Call:

Present: Mayor Colinas, Councilmembers Joplin, Kaemingk, Krienke, Nick, Steele and Thorpe.

Absent: Councilmember Gallagher.

Staff: Clerk-Treasurer Swisher.

Public Requests & Oral Communications: None.

Reports of Committees & City Officials:

Mayor Colinas introduced the representatives from South County Fire gave an overview of their annual report and the process they will go through to do the nationwide search for a new Fire Chief.

Councilmember Steele reviewed the claim checks over the weekend.

Councilmember Thorpe commented that music in the park was very successful two weeks ago.

Approval of Minutes:

Mayor Colinas opened for consideration approval of the Brier City Council Minutes of July 9, 2019. Motion: Approve the Brier City Council Minutes of July 9, 2019. Moved by Councilmember Kaemingk, Seconded by Councilmember Nick. Motion Carried.

Miscellaneous Business by Call of Councilmembers & City Officials:

Mayor Colinas stated that next Tuesday is a 5^th Tuesday so there is no meeting but we will meet on August 6^th.

Councilmember Thorpe asked about our Civil Service Commission and how often they met stating that the minutes online are not up to date.

Auditing of Accounts:

Mayor Colinas opened for consideration approval of the July 2019 Claim Checks. Motion: Approve the July 2019 Claim Checks No. 40854 through No. 40880 and EFT transactions in the amount of $150,438.83 and voided Check No. 40817. Moved by Councilmember Steele, Seconded by Councilmember Kaemingk. Motion Carried.
