Mayor Colinas called the regular Brier City Council Meeting to order at 7:00 PM.

Roll Call:

Present: Mayor Colinas, Councilmembers Gallagher, Kaemingk, Krienke, Nick, Steele and Thorpe. Councilmember Joplin joined the meeting at 7:04 PM.

Staff: Clerk-Treasurer Swisher and Planner Flathman.

Public Requests & Oral Communications: None.

Reports of Committees & City Officials:

Councilmember Kaemingk came in on June 11^th to review the annual report, June 15^th attended the staff meeting, June 20^th reviewed claim checks and attended the June 22nd staff meeting.

Councilmember Gallagher attended the Planning Commission meeting on June 17^th.

Approval of Minutes:

Mayor Colinas opened for consideration approval of the Brier City Council Minutes of June 9, 2020. Motion: Approve the Brier City Council Minutes of June 9, 2020. Moved by Councilmember Nick, Seconded by Councilmember Gallagher. Motion Carried.

Hearings:

Mayor Colinas opened the Public Hearing for Ordinance No. 465, amending Chapter 15.28 and Chapter 18.40 relating to flood damage prevention and flood hazards at 7:09 PM. Planner Flathman gave a brief overview of the ordinance changes and the reasons behind it, along with the Planning Commission recommendation. Public Hearing was closed at 7:10 PM.

Ordinances, Resolutions & Orders

Mayor Colinas opened for consideration approval of Ordinance No. 465, amending Chapter 15.28 and Chapter 18.40 relating to flood damage prevention and flood hazards. Miscellaneous Business by Call of Councilmembers & City Officials:

Mayor Colinas opened for approval of the Mayor's re-appointment of M.L. DeMorett to the Planning Commission Position No. 6, with a term set to expire July 31, 2024. Motion: Approve the Mayor's re-appointment of M.L. DeMorett to the Planning Commission Position No. 6, with a term set to expire July 31, 2024. Moved by Councilmember Krienke, Seconded by Councilmember Gallagher. Motion Carried.

Mayor Colinas opened for approval of the Mayor's re-appointment of Bill Kolden to the Planning Commission Position No. 7, with a term set to expire July 31, 2024. Mayor Colinas stated that we have a fifth Tuesday next week and that we do not have business for the July 7^th Brier City Council Workshop meeting. Motion: Cancel the July 7^th Brier City Council Workshop meeting. Moved by Councilmember Gallagher, Seconded by Councilmember Nick. Motion Carried.

Auditing of Accounts:

Mayor Colinas opened for consideration approval of the June 2020 Claim Checks. Motion: Approve the June 2020 Claim Checks No. 41726, Checks no. 41728 through No. 41730, Checks No. 41735 through No. 41770 and EFT transactions in the amount of $109,067.74. Moved by Councilmember Kaemingk, Seconded by Councilmember Krienke. Motion Carried.
