BRIER CITY COUNCIL MINUTES
November 10, 2020
Mayor Kaemingk called the regular Brier City
Council Meeting to order at 7:00 PM.
Roll Call:
Present: Mayor
Kaemingk, Councilmember Gallagher, Joplin, Krienke, Lockhart, Marley, Nick and
Rosman.
Staff: Clerk-Treasurer Swisher, Deputy Clerk Snowden
Public
Requests & Oral Communications:
Kevin Davis of Brier asked about the soap
dispensers and why the City doesn't have working units
in the public / park restrooms.
Reports of
Committees & City Officials:
Councilmember Marley met with the Public Works crew
on October 29th and 30th, walked through the facility and
talked about their daily process and equipment. Mayor Kaemingk mentioned that
he has asked Councilmember Marley to be in contact with Public Works quarterly
to make sure their needs are being met.
Councilmember Gallagher attended a Community Transit
meeting last week.
Councilmember Nick reviewed claim checks on October
9th.
Councilmember Joplin attended a Snohomish Co.
Health board meeting on November 10th.
Councilmember Joplin made a motion to contribute
$1.00 per citizen for the 2021 budget to be contributed to the Snohomish County
Health District, motion was not seconded, motion died.
Councilmember Rosman mentioned that the Library Board
will be making a request for lighting.

Mayor Kaemingk opened for consideration approval of the Brier City

the Brier City Council Minutes of November 3, 2020. Moved by Councilmember Gallagher, Seconded by Councilmember Lockhart. Motion
Carried.
Consent
Agenda:
Mayor Kaemingk opened for consideration approval of the Police Contract
with Teamsters Local 117. Motion:
Approve the Police Contract with Teamsters Local 117. Moved by
Councilmember Krienke, Seconded by
Councilmember Joplin. Motion Carried.
Mayor Kaemingk opened for consideration approval to purchase a Truck for the Building Inspector from the State
Contract in an amount to not exceed $30,000.00 and to include the surplus of
the 2002 Ford Ranger that is being replaced. Motion:

Business by Call of Councilmembers & City Officials:
City Clerk Swisher mentioned that the Council will
be discussing the move to the State Business Licensing System in the upcoming
meetings.
Auditing
of Accounts:
Mayor Kaemingk opened for consideration approval of the October 2020
Payroll Checks. Motion: Approve the October 2020
Payroll Checks No. 42071 through No. 42073 and EFT transactions in the amount
of $149,058.15. Moved by Councilmember Nick, Seconded by Councilmember Joplin. Motion
Carried.
Mayor Kaemingk opened for consideration approval of the October 2020
Claim Checks. Motion:
Approve the October 2020 Claim Checks No. 42103 through No. 42143 in the
amount of $141,309.12. Moved
by Councilmember Nick, Seconded by
Councilmember Lockhart. Motion Carried.
Adjournment
Mayor Kaemingk declared the meeting adjourned at 7:36 PM.
