Mayor Kaemingk called the regular Brier City Council Meeting to order at 7:01 PM.

Roll Call:

Present: Mayor Kaemingk, Councilmembers Gallagher, Joplin, Krienke, Lockhart, Marley, Nick and Rosman.

Staff: Clerk-Treasurer Swisher and Deputy Clerk-Treasurer Snowden.

Public Requests & Oral Communications: None.

Reports of Committees & City Officials:

Councilmember Marley attended a Public Works meeting last week and saw the demonstration of the new chipper. He reported that the new soap dispensers are installed in the park bathrooms. The crew expressed concerned about being without the Monroe work crew again this year due to Covid.

Councilmember Nick reviewed the claim checks on February 8^th.

Councilmember Gallagher attended the Community Transit Board meeting last week.

Councilmember Joplin attended the Snohomish Health Board meeting February 9^th.

Mayor Kaemingk reported that he attended several meetings with local mayors and they were able to give input on the legislation surrounding the changes that are being considered for police.

Councilmember Lockhart will attend the Park Board meeting tomorrow evening.

Approval of Minutes:

Hearings:

Mayor Kaemingk opened the Public Hearing and consideration of Home Occupation No. 602911397, located at 2509 217^th Pl SW by Shelly Magnuson for Shelly's Styles at 7:17 PM. Deputy Clerk-Treasurer Snowden gave a brief report of the home occupation. Shelly Magnuson spoke briefly about the nature of her business. Mayor Kaemingk closed the Public Hearing at 7:21 PM. Motion: Approve Home Occupation No. 602911397, located at 2509 217^th Pl SW by Shelly Magnuson for Shelly's Styles. Moved by Councilmember Rosman, Seconded by Councilmember Lockhart. Motion Carried.

Miscellaneous Business by Call of Councilmembers & City Officials:

Councilmember Gallagher inquired if there would be a workshop meeting next week. Mayor Kaemingk stated we had nothing on the agenda. Motion: Cancel the Brier Council Workshop meeting of February 16^th. Moved by Councilmember Gallagher, Seconded by Councilmember Nick. Motion Carried.

Auditing of Accounts:

Mayor Kaemingk opened for consideration approval of the January 2021 Payroll Checks Motion: Approve the January 2021 Payroll Checks No. 42361 through No. 42363 and EFT transactions in the amount of $163,036.96. Moved by Councilmember Nick, Seconded by Councilmember Gallagher. Motion Carried.

Mayor Kaemingk opened for consideration approval of the January 2021 Claim Checks. Motion: Approve the January 2021 Claim Check No. 42360 and Checks No. 42364 through No. 42404 in the amount of $143,104.85. Moved by Councilmember Nick, Seconded by Councilmember Joplin. Motion Carried.
