BRIER CITY COUNCIL MINUTES
July 12, 2022
Mayor Kaemingk called the regular Brier City
Council Meeting to order at 7:00 PM and flag salute was given.
Roll Call:
Present: Mayor Kaemingk,
Councilmembers Gallagher, Krienke, Lockhart, Marley,
Moran, Nick, and Rosman.
Staff: Clerk-Treasurer Swisher
and Chief Almquist.
Public
Requests & Oral Communications:
Bob Colinas, Brier, stopped by to remind everyone
to not get discouraged by non-attendance at the meetings, thanked everyone for
their dedication to serve in office and to encourage them not to listen to the
negative comments on social media.
Reports of
Committees & City Officials:
Chief Almquist gave a report on National Night Out,
the Dog Walker Watch program, went over the second quarter stats, and discussed
fireworks calls.
Councilmember Gallagher reviewed the claims checks
and attended the Community Transit Board meeting.
Approval
of Minutes:
Mayor Kaemingk opened for consideration approval of the Brier City
Council Minutes of June 28, 2022. Motion:
Approve the Brier City Council Minutes of June 28, 2022, Moved by Councilmember Nick, Seconded
by Councilmember Lockhart. Motion Carried.
Miscellaneous
Business by Call of Councilmembers & City Officials:
Mayor Kaemingk reported that today was Planner Flathman's last day, we had a lunch to wish her farewell
and we discussed the plan to fill in her duties.
Councilmember Gallagher will not be in attendance
next week.
Councilmember Krienke may not be in attendance next
week.
Councilmember Moran discussed placing a notice on
the pedestrian bridge that the project is moving forward.
Councilmember Rosman asked if people can call in
fireworks violations anonymously and asked about name badges for Council and
Park Board members.
Auditing
of Accounts
Mayor Kaemingk opened for consideration approval of the June 2022
Payroll Checks. Motion: Approve the
June 2022 Payroll Checks No. 43829 through No. 43833 and EFT transactions in
the amount of $250,562.33, Moved by Councilmember Gallagher, Seconded by Councilmember Nick. Motion Carried.
Mayor Kaemingk opened for consideration approval of the June 2022 Claim
Checks. Motion: Approve the June 2022 Claim Check No. 43828, Checks
No. 43834 through No. 43877 in the amount of $235,997.54, Moved by Councilmember
Gallagher, Seconded by Councilmember
Lockhart. Motion Carried.
Adjournment
Mayor Kaemingk
declared the meeting adjourned at 7:45 PM.
