Mayor Pro-Tem Marley called the regular Brier City Council Meeting to order at 7:00 PM and flag salute was given.

Roll Call:

Present: Mayor Pro-tem Marley, Councilmembers Gallagher, Krienke, Lockhart, Moran, Nick, Rosman.

Absent: Mayor Kaemingk

Staff: City Clerk-Treasurer Swisher, Deputy City Clerk Snowden, Police Chief Almquist.

Public Requests & Oral Communications: None.

Reports of Committees & City Officials:

Councilmember Gallagher reviewed claims on June 26, sat in the radio room and communicated over the radios, attended Master Builders Assoc. meeting last week, attended Law and Justice meeting for Snohomish County on June 27.

Councilmember Rosman attended the Parks Board meeting on June 14^th. The committee wanted to elevate the meeting minutes to Council based on the mole work in Brier Park. The Music in the Park date has been changed to September 13^th at 5:00pm. National Night Out is on August 1st, SeaScare parade is on August 9^th. The Board welcomed new member, Harmony Crawford.

Councilmember Krienke didn't attend planning commission due to the nature of the agenda. Reminded public to not send emails to council regarding issues that will be before them at a later date due to the Quasi-Judicial nature.

Chief Almquist gave a department update, Lt. Ridout is out on paternity leave, Officer Hawley will be back soon and on active duty, a new lateral is moving through the hiring process.

Approval of Minutes:

Hearings:

Mayor Pro-tem Marley opened for the Public Hearing on Resolution No. 599, regarding adoption of the 2024-2029 Comprehensive Street Plan. Open hearing at 7:14 PM. Mayor Pro-tem Marley asked if anyone in the public wanted to speak. Council discussion. Closed hearing at 7:19 PM

Steve Dekoekkoek, Brier - asked how to get a copy of the Comprehensive Street plan being proposed.

Unfinished Business:

Mayor Pro-tem Marley opened for consideration approval of Home Occupation Business No. 605244454, located at 21703 Oak Way by Yiran Wang for Flow into Focus, LLC with revised proposal. Council discussion. Motion: Amendment to the original application with revised proposal for hours of operation. Moved by Councilmember Rosman, Seconded by Councilmember Krienke. Motion Carried.

Original motion made on June 13: Approve the Home Occupation 605244454 located at 21703 Oak Way by Yiran Wang for Flow into Focus, LLC. Moved by Councilmember Krienke, Seconded by Councilmember Nick.
