Mayor Kaemingk called the regular Brier City Council Meeting to order at 7:00 PM and flag salute was given.

Roll Call:

Present: Mayor Kaemingk, Councilmembers Allen, Gallagher, Lockhart, Marley, Othman, and Rosman.

Absent: Councilmember Krienke.

Staff: City Planner Michaelis, Clerk-Treasurer Swisher

Public Requests & Oral Communications:

Laura Smith, Brier-Glad to see the police officers around town.

Reports of Committees & City Officials:

Mayor Kaemingk attended the Snohomish County Mayor's meeting, Department of Emergency Management meeting and the Audit Exit Conference.

Councilmember Othman attended the Audit Exit Conference on December 17^th and commented that the audit went very well due to the City's efficient record keeping.

Councilmember Gallagher-Attended the Snohomish County Tomorrow meeting.

Councilmember Rosman- Had a meeting with the mayor and went for a ride along on the 11^th.

Approval of Minutes:

Mayor Kaemingk opened for consideration approval of the Brier City Council Minutes of December 10, 2024. Motion: Approve the Brier City Council Minutes of December 10, 2024, Moved by Councilmember Gallagher, Seconded by Councilmember Marley. Motion Carried.

Unfinished Business:

Mayor Kaemingk opened for consideration approval to adopt the 2025 Legislative Priorities. Mayor Kaemingk gave a brief overview of the priorities. Motion: Approve to adopt the 2025 Legislative Priorities, Moved by Councilmember Rosman, Seconded by Councilmember Marley. There was council discussion. Motion Carried.

Hearings:

Mayor Kaemingk opened for the Public Hearing on Ordinance No. 500, adopting the 2024 Comprehensive Plan Update at 7:13 PM. Clerk-Treasurer Swisher gave a brief overview of what this public hearing pertains to. ML Demorett, Brier-Shared that as Planning Commission Chair, this has been the most efficient and comprehensive process thanks to City Planner, Lee Michaelis. Aly McPhee, Brier-Shared that she appreciated the public meetings for the Comprehensive Plan Update. Mayor Kaemingk closed the Public Hearing at 7:19 PM.

Ordinance, Resolutions & Orders:

Mayor Kaemingk opened for consideration approval of Ordinance No. 500, adopting the 2024 Comprehensive Plan Update. Motion: Approve Ordinance No. 500, adopting the 2024 Comprehensive Plan Update, Moved by Councilmember Marley, Seconded by Councilmember Allen. Motion Carried.

Miscellaneous Business by Call of Councilmembers & City Officials:

Clerk-Treasurer Swisher reminded everyone that the next council meeting will be January 7^th, 2025.
