BRIER CITY COUNCIL MINUTES
May 26, 2026
Mayor Kaemingk called the regular Brier City
Council Meeting to order at 7:00 PM and flag salute was given.
Roll Call:
Present: Mayor Kaemingk, Councilmembers Allen, Gallagher,
Krienke, Lockhart, Marley, Othman and Parsons.
Public

Reports of
Committees & City Officials:
Mayor Kaemingk is now a
member of Snohomish County Charter Review and shared that they will be holding
a meeting at Mountlake Terrace City Hall at 5:30pm tomorrow. He also wanted to
thank Councilmember Parsons for all of his work on the
Brier Park Restroom project.
Councilmember Parsons
attended the Park Board Meeting last week and they re-capped this year's Easter
Egg hunt and shared suggestions for improvements to the event next year. He
also shared that Sea Cucumber Day will be celebrated June 12th at
Brier Elementary, Music in the Park is July 15th and Seascare will be in August.
Councilmember Gallagher
reviewed Checks last week and shared that there will be a statewide Department
of Emergency Management exercise this Saturday in the radio room.
Councilmember Othman
attended the Planning Commission meeting last Wednesday but had to excuse
himself from the discussions.

Agenda:
Mayor Kaemingk opened for consideration approval to
purchase the Elgin Sweeper in the amount of $405,520.48. Motion: Approve purchase of the Elgin Sweeper in the amount of
$405,520.48. Moved by Councilmember
Allen, Seconded by Councilmember
Othman. There was council discussion. Councilmember Othman wanted it to be on
record that the money is coming for restricted stormwater funds and the
previous sweeper lasted beyond its years due to regular maintenance and care. Motion
Carried.
Consideration Of Bids, L.I.D.S & Related
Matters:
Mayor Kaemingk opened for consideration approval of
the Vine Road pavement preservation project recommendation of bid award to
Lakeside Industries Inc. in an amount not to exceed $700,000.00. Motion: Approve the Vine Road pavement

Auditing
of Accounts:

Checks and electronic payments.

Mayor Kaemingk told Council that there will be a
Workshop meeting next Tuesday.
