BRIER PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES

December 1, 2004
7:00 PM

HELD AT BRIER COMMUNITY CHURCH FELLOWSHIP HALL
22730 BRIER ROAD

Chairman Lavoie called the Brier Planning Commission meeting to order at 7:03 PM.

 

ROLL CALL:

Present:            Commissioners Michael Lavoie, Dave Marley, Sue Wahlgren and Jim Hodgen. Commissioner Allyn Chrisman arrived at 7:05 PM.

 

Absent: Commissioners Gene Funk, and Brandon Brock.

 

Due to lack of a quorum the Planning Commission meeting was not held on November 17, 2004, it was continued to December 1, 2004.

 

APPROVAL OF MINUTES:

Commissioner Wahlgren moved and Commissioner Marley seconded to approve the minutes of October 20, 2004 as written. Motion Carried. Commissioner Hodgen abstained.

 

It was moved by Commissioner Lavoie and seconded to move Item #C on the Agenda to be heard first. Motion Carried. Commissioner Lavoie recused himself and left the building, he stated he is a neighbor of the Goldbergs.

 

OLD BUSINESS - PUBLIC HEARING CONTINUED:

CONDITIONAL USE APPLICATION #CU04-003 AT 21409 POPLAR WAY BY HOWARD GOLDBERG AND MARCIA DAVID.

Chairman Protem Marley opened for consideration Conditional Use Application #CU04-003 at 21409 Poplar Way by Howard Goldberg and Marcia David. Mr. Goldberg explained the reason he was applying for a Conditional Use Application for his fence was that a neighborhood complained that the fence was taller than 6'. Mr. Albert Williams gave a brief explanation.

Commissioner Marley opened the Public Hearing for comment at 7:09 PM. There were no comments. Commissioner Marley closed the Public Hearing at 7:10 PM.

Commissioner Hodgen moved and Commissioner Wahlgren seconded to recommend to the Brier City Council approval of Conditional Use Application #CU04-003 by Howard Goldberg and Marcia David at 21409 Poplar Way. Motion Carried.

 

Commissioner Lavoie rejoined the meeting at 7:15 PM.

 

SHORTPLAT APPLICATION #SP03-002 CREEKSIDE, BY MOORE/WALKER @ 21206 POPLAR WAY.

Chairman Lavoie opened Shortplat Application #SP03-002 for consideration.

Commissioner Marley moved and Commissioner Chrisman seconded to recommend to the Brier City Council denial of Shortplat Application #SP03-002, Creekside, by Moore/Walker at 21206 Poplar Way, due to the lack of submitting requested documents to the Planning Commission. Motion Carried.

 

LOT LINE ADJUSTMENT #LL04-01 AT 2805 216TH ST SW BY DOUGLAS SIMPSON.

Chairman Lavoie opened for consideration Lot Line Adjustment for consideration.

Commissioner Wahlgren moved and Commissioner Hodgen seconded to recommend to the Brier City Council approval of Lot Line Adjustment #LL04-01 at 2805 215th ST. SW by Douglas Simpson. Motion Carried.

 

ADJOURNMENT:

Commissioner Hodgen moved to adjourn motion was seconded. Meeting adjourned at 7:20 PM.
