BRIER PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES

Chairwoman Protem Wahlgren called the Brier Planning Commission meeting to order at 7:07 PM.

ROLL CALL:

Present: Commissioners, Dave Marley, Sue Wahlgren Robert Nelson, Scott Warner.

Absent:            Commissioners Allyn Chrisman, Gene Funk and Michael Lavoie.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES:

Commissioner Warner moved and Commissioner Marley seconded to approve the minutes of February 16, 2005 as written. Motion Carried.

PUBLIC REQUESTS & ORAL COMMUNICATIONS:

Ed Walker 21206 Poplar Way, suggested that they change the order of their agenda to mimic the council agenda with the approval of minutes approved after public requests giving people an opportunity to speak in regard to them.

OLD BUSINESS - PUBLIC HEARING:

Variance #V05-001 by Ed Schippers, Arriva Properties at 22202 Locust Way.

Chairwoman Protem Wahlgren opened for discussion Variance #V05-001. Mr. Schippers has submitted a letter stating he is withdrawing his Variance #05-001 application.

Proposed Stormwater Ordinance Amendment.

Chairwoman Protem Wahlgren opened for discussion the Proposed Stormwater Ordinance Amendment. There was discussion on each component of the changes. Commissioner Warner passed out a copy of some proposed revisions. Commission Wahlgren opened the public hearing. Ed Walker 21206 Poplar Way spoke to the regarding the calculations from the DOE 2001 manual. Bob Colinas 21615 Poplar Way, addressed the Commission and stated that he believes as a Councilmember that the Council adopted the DOE manual to get our requirements under the DOE manual because it is stringent and covers everything in detail. Ed Walker requested that the Commission continue this issue so that it may be more formally advertised and give the public a final opportunity to comment. Commissioner Marley moved and Commissioner Nelson seconded to continue this motion to the April meeting. Motion Carried.
