BRIER PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES

APRIL 20, 2005
7:00 PM

Chairman Wahlgren called the Brier Planning Commission meeting to order at 7:01 PM.

ROLL CALL:

Present: Commissioners Dave Marley, Sue Wahlgren, Robert Nelson, Scott Warner, and Gene Funk.

Absent:            Commissioners Michael Lavoie, and Allyn Chrisman.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES:

Commissioner Marley moved and Commissioner Nelson seconded to approve the minutes of March 16, 2005 as written. Motion Carried.

PUBLIC REQUESTS & ORAL COMMUNICATIONS:

Mr. Walker – 21206 Poplar Way stated he would like to speak during Miscellaneous Business.

NEW BUSINESS:

CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT APPLICATION #CUP05-003 - DOMINIC PANTEL AT 23301 38^TH PLACE W.

Chairman Protem Wahlgren opened the Public Hearing at 7:03 PM. There was no public input.

Commissioner Marley moved and Commissioner Warner seconded the motion to continue Conditional Use Application #CUP05-003 to the next regular Planning Commission meeting. Motion Carried.

MISCELLANEOUS:

Proposed Stormwater Ordinance Amendment.

Mr. Walker – 21206 Poplar Way - gave a hand out to the Planning Commission, regarding 16.20.020, and discussed his comments with the Planning Commission.

The Planning Commission reviewed their suggestions of the Proposed Storm water Ordinance that will be sent to the City Council.

Commissioner Marley moved and Commissioner Warner seconded to approve the recommendations made to the Proposed Stormwater Ordinance Amendment and send the recommendations to the City Council. Motion Carried

Commissioner Nelson moved and Commissioner Warner seconded to approve the striking of the Italicized portion of 16.20.020. Motion Carried.

Sasha Doolittle gave a brief report to the Planning Commission.

Mayor Starks spoke to the Planning Commission regarding the emergency ordinances before the City Council. He explained that they are a stop gap measure until the Council can review the Planning Commissions recommendations.
