BRIER PLANNING COMMISSION
MINUTES
September 20, 2006
7:00 PM
Chairman Lavoie called the Brier Planning
Commission meeting to order at 7:01 PM.
ROLL CALL:
Present: Commissioners
Gene Funk, David Marley, Keith Maw, Scott Warner, Michael Lavoie, Kerin Steele
and Allyn Chrisman.
Councilman
Krienke, Planning Commission liaison.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
Chairman Lavoie opened
for consideration approval of the July 19, 2006 regular Planning Commission
Meeting minutes as amended. Commissioner
Steele moved and Commissioner Funk seconded to approve the July 19, 2006
regular Planning Commission Meeting minutes as amended. Motion Carried.
Chairman Lavoie abstained due to disagreement with the lot potentials, road
discharges and sewer plans on the McClenny Meadows Subdivision.
COMMITTEE REPORTS:
Councilmember Krienke stated that the City Council
will most likely pass the Short Subdivision Ordinance.
There was Commissioner discussion about Jim and Jeri
Lilley’s Adult Family Home on 21228 Poplar Way. There was also discussion on the McClenny Meadows Subdivision, if
it is legal for the Commissioners to get a copy of the “Galt Recommendations”
from the Hearing.
PUBLIC REQUESTS & ORAL COMMUNICATIONS:
Ed Walker 21206 Poplar Way; stated that the
Commissioners should be able to get a copy of the “Galt Recommendations” from
the Hearing.
NEW BUSINESS:
A. Discussion of Tree Preservation Ordinance Chapter
18.20:
Jim Cutts, Director
of Community Development and Planning, reviewed and discussed revisions
to the Ordinance with the Commissioners.
Chairman Lavoie recessed for 4 minutes at 8:36 PM. The
Commissioners returned from recess at 8:40 PM.
Commissioner Maw moved and
Commissioner Warner seconded
to continue discussion on the Tree Preservation Ordinance Chapter 18.20 at the
next special Planning Commission Meeting held on October 4, 2006 at 7:00 PM at
City Hall. Motion carried.
MISCELLANEOUS:
Chairman Lavoie stated that
he will not be attending the special Planning Commission Meeting being held on
October 4, 2006. Mr. Lavoie also addressed the Commissioners about a hazardous
dead tree on the border of Brier and Mountlake Terrace located on Larch Way.
