Chairman Marley called the Brier Planning Commission meeting to order at 6:58:38 PM.

ROLL CALL:

Present:      Commissioners Funk, Olson, Marley, Thorpe, Smith and Commissioner Joplin.

Absent:       Commissioner Lavoie.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES:

Chairman Marley opened for consideration approval of the February 20, 2008 Planning Commission minutes. Commissioner Thorpe moved and Commissioner Smith seconded to approve the February 20, 2008 Planning Commission minutes with Commissioner Joplin abstaining. Motion Carried.

NEW BUSINESS:

Chairman Marley opened for discussion the Public Storage Facility in the Neighborhood Business Zone. The Commission reviewed the proposed recommendations by City Staff. Wally Kempe, owner of property were Brier Pizza is located, gave a brief presentation of the Public Storage Facility he is proposing. Commissioner Smith moved and Commissioner Joplin seconded to continue the discussion to allow self storage units in the BN zone to the next regular Planning Commission Meeting of April 16, 2008.  Motion Carried 5-2. Commissioner Funk-Yes, Commissioner Joplin-Yes, Commissioner Smith-Yes, Commissioner Thorpe-Yes, Chairman Marley-No, Commissioner Olson-No. None Abstained.

OLD BUSINESS:

Chairman Marley opened for discussion the Residential Building Heights. The Commission reviewed the proposed recommendations from City Staff. There was Commission discussion. Planning Commissioners decided to continue the discussion of Residential Building Heights to the next regular Planning Commission Meeting of April 16, 2008. Motion Carried.
