Chairman Marley called the Brier Planning Commission meeting to order at 7:04:30 PM

ROLL CALL: 7:04:46 PM

PRESENT:        Commissioner Funk, Marley, Olson, Thorpe, Smith and Joplin.

Councilmember Kaemingk and Corpron-Smith.

Parks and Recreation Board Jim Wright, Carla Wood and Craig Harris.

ABSENT:      Commissioner Lavoie.

STAFF:         Dir. Comm. Dev. & Planning Cutts.

JOINT MEETING PLANNING COMMISSION & PARKS AND RECREATION BOARD:

Director Cutts opened for discussion, the linking of City parks.  A letter was submitted by Peggy Dare with suggestions for an updated park trail map for new park links. 

There was discussion regarding signage to direct the pedestrians through the parks.

At the Parks Board request, Director Cutts will work directly with Guy Fleischer to combine the parks maps into one detailed map.

UPDATES TO 2008 COMPREHENSIVE PLAN:

Director Cutts opened for discussion the changes to the Land Use Element and Housing Element in the Comprehensive Plan.

UPDATE ON ALLVIEW ANNEXATION:

There was discussion on the Allview Annexation, Director Cutts informed the Commission that the annexation is still in litigation with MIR Enterprises, in conjunction with the Snohomish County Boundary Review Board.
