Chairman Marley called the Brier Planning Commission meeting to order at 7:03:55 PM

ROLL CALL: 7:04:16 PM

PRESENT:                                Commissioner Magnuson, Scott, Marley, Thorpe, Smith and Joplin.

ABSENT:                                  Commissioner Olson.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES:

Chairman Marley opened for consideration approval of the August 20, 2008 Planning Commission minutes. Commissioner Smith moved, seconded by Commissioner Joplin, to approve the August 20, 2008 Planning Commission minutes as amended. Motion Carried.

COMMITTEE REPORTS:

Councilmember Kaemingk reported about the Council’s talks about the 2009 budget and the hope for land development in 2009.

NEW BUSINESS:

Chairman Marley opened for discussion the adoption of the Planning Commission Annual Report to the City Council.  Commissioner Smith moved, seconded by Commissioner Thorpe, to approve the Planning Commission Annual Report to the City Council with a brief summary added to the February 20^th minutes on the zoning code changes.  Motion Carried. Commissioners Magnuson and Scott abstained.

MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS:

Associate Planner Nicole Gaudette gave an update on the Old Poplar Crest development. The developers are waiting on the SEPA appeal deadline to pass.
