BRIER PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES

BRIER CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS
FEBRUARY 18, 2009
7:00 PM

Chairman Marley called the Brier Planning Commission meeting to order at 7:00pm.

 

ROLL CALL:

PRESENT:            Chairman Marley, Commissioners Magnuson, Scott, Thorpe, Smith, Joplin and Olson.

STAFF:            Nicole Gaudette, Associate Planner           

 

 

COMMITTEE REPORTS:

Councilmember Kaemingk provided a report to the Commissioners about Council activity during the past few months. Councilmember Kaemingk informed the Commissioners that Council had discussed Park Mitigation Fees, MTYAA Contract for 2009, Title 3 revisions, and etc.

 

NEW BUSINESS:

Associate Planner Nicole Gaudette opened for discussion and described Title 16 changes.

 

Chairman Marley opened to describe highlights of the past few years on Planning Commission, which included: Stormwater Ordinance #13, Lot Potential Mitigation (excluding roads from buffer), Mobile and Manufactured Housing (removed requirement for Conditional Use Permit), Short Subdivisions (require only 1 hearing), Fire Stations allowed in Residential Zones, Tree Ordinance, Buildable Lands Report, MUGA redrawn by Fire District, and Amendments to Chapters 15, 16 and 17 of the Municipal Code.

 

MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS:

Commissioners discussed if they should work on a nuisance code.
