Chairman Marley called the Brier Planning Commission meeting to order at 7:01:50 PM.

ROLL CALL:

PRESENT:          Commissioner Marley, Olson, Thorpe, Joplin and Scott; Councilmember Kaemingk.

ABSENT:          Commissioner Smith and Magnuson.

STAFF:          City Planner Gaudette.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES:

Chairman Marley opened for consideration approval of the April 15, 2009 Planning Commission minutes. Commissioner Olson made a MOTION to approve the April 15, 2009 Planning Commission minutes as written. Commissioner Scott SECONDED. Motion Carried.

COMMITTEE REPORTS:

Councilmember Kaemingk reported on the City Council’s current activities.

PUBLIC REQUESTS & ORAL COMMUNICATIONS:

There was discussion regarding the Murphy Detention Pond problems and possible repairs. City Planner Gaudette explained the temporary fix for now.

City Planner Gaudette advised that there was a SEPA appeal for the Sunbrook development.

NEW BUSINESS:

Chairman Marley opened discussion of park mitigation fees and level of service. City Planner Gaudette went over the process for determining park mitigation fees and level of service. The Commissioners were asked for any input they might have regarding level of service. It was suggested to put out a survey asking the public if they are happy with the level of service currently. Their goal is to present an amendment for the to meet the September deadline.
