Scott called the Brier Planning Commission meeting to
order at 7:03:12 PM.

CALL:
PRESENT: Commissioner Weston,
Smith, Joplin, Magnuson and Scott; Councilmember Kaemingk.
ABSENT: Commissioner Marley and
Perry.
STAFF: City
Planner Gaudette.
Councilmember
Kaemingk introduced the new Planning Commissioner, Rebekah Weston.
APPROVAL
OF MINUTES:
Chairman Pro-Tem Scott opened for consideration approval of
the April 21, 2010 Planning Commission minutes. The minutes were not approved
due to lack of quorum of Commissioners who were present at the April 21, 2010
meeting.
COMMITTEE
REPORTS:
Councilmember
Kaemingk discussed recent City Council activity.
PUBLIC
HEARINGS:
Grinder
pumps
Chairman
Pro-Tem Scott opened
consideration for updating the BMC for the use of grinder pumps. City Planner
Gaudette gave an overview of why this change needs to be made.

the Public Hearing at 7:24:54 PM.

Pro-Tem Scott Closed the Public Hearing at 7:25:05 PM.
There
was Commission discussion.
Commissioner Smith made a MOTION to recommend adoption of
Ordinance No. 379 to the City Council, to update the language regarding grinder
pumps. Commissioner Magnuson SECONDED. Motion carried.
NEW BUSINESS:
Chairman
Pro-Tem Scott opened discussion to revise the Planning Commission guidelines in
the BMC. City Planner Gaudette proposed to change the language in the BMC so
that the Planning Commission can meet a minimum of 9 times per year. There was
Commission discussion.
MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS:
City
Planner Gaudette advised the Commission that Commissioner Perry is resigning
from the Planning Commission. Her last meeting will be in July.
ADJOURNMENT:
Commissioner Magnuson made a MOTION to adjourn. Commissioner Smith SECONDED. Meeting adjourned at 7:33:33 PM.
